Fear of the Dark

Chapter 3

Just as Tooth has flown out North came out with Jack. Bunny was quick to alert North of what just happened. North understands her worry so he starts to suite up for flight. I've always liked his sleigh so I was very exited to be flying on it. Jack on the other hand was thinking of some old, rickety sleigh like in the old tales. The yetis then open the stable doors for the reindeer, and as in slow motion the sleigh comes into view. 

The excitement on my face doesn't seem to match Jack's as he tells North he'll go for one ride, but that's it. I jump into the sleigh and Jack sits next to me. North gets in, Sandy as well, and starts to push some buttons and pull some levers. Bunny is still on the ground though and doesn't seem to want to come into the sleigh.

" Bunny! What are you waiting for?" North says as he grabs the bridle. I look down to Bunny as he looks terrified.

" I think my tunnels might be faster mate.. and safer." Bunny then says as he seems to be testing the sleighs sturdiness with his paw. I laugh at his fear of heights.

" Stop laughing at me (y/n)!" He then yells, annoyance clear in his tone. North then grabs his strap and pulls him onto the sleigh.

" Buckle up." North then jokingly says as me, Jack and Sandy laugh.

" Where are the bloody seat belts!!" Bunny said mortified of not knowing how to strap himself in.

" That was just expression." North then says through his Russian accent as the rest of us laugh at those two.

North then signals the reindeer to go. I hold on to the rails because if anything it would be easier for me to fall of then the others. Plus I won't be able to just fly or hop back.

We start picking up speed and go through tunnels as Bunny seems to be screaming the whole time and dragging his claws against the wood, making claw marks appear. Just as I'd gotten used to the speed we are upside down and I can really feel my stomach turn.

" I HOPE YOU LIKE THE LOPPDY LOOPS!" North then yells at our direction.

" I hope you like carrots!" Bunny then says as he looks like he might throw up. Sandy and Jack seem to be enjoying themselves. Sandy being the one with his hands in the air and Jack smiling like an idiot the whole time.

We then exit the tunnels and are air born. That's when I finally let go of the rails and sit down next to Sandy. Jack decides to trick Bunny into thinking he fell of and the look on Bunnies face when he flew of was priceless. Me and Sandy giggling as Jack sarcastically makes fun of their relationship.

North then grabs one of his portals and makes it take us to the Tooth Palace. Going through portals is not my thing so I grab Sandy and close my eyes. I just feel his hand on my back as he pats it gently as if hes saying its all right. 

We exit the portal and I get a small smack on the back to notify me that we are here. I open my eyes and see black figures in the distance. They look oddly familiar. As we fly closer we see that they are like horses, but very skeleton like. They seem to be following the small fairies that Tooth has. Jack then flies up and takes one before the horse eats it. We take a turn closer to the Palace it self and North asks Jack to steer. He then jumps up and takes one of his two swords  and starts to destroy some of the horses. As they turn to dust we see that they aren't only taking the fairies, they are also taking the capsules that Tooth keeps the teeth in. The sand hits Sandy and it looks identical to his dream sand, except its black. That gets me worried. Jack being as worried stops focusing on where we are going and we crash. We see Tooth flying above us and immediately jump out to try and help her. She is starts panicking, telling us that they took all her fairies and all the teeth. The Guardians jump up to where she sat down while I stay with Jack. I can't jump like that.
