I LOOKED TO MY LEFT to see Harry on his phone while looking up at the road every now and then. My eyebrows rose and I waited for him to catch me staring. Driving and texting was dangerous. Hell, walking and texting was dangerous. If we got in a car accident, and if it did not kill him, I would do it myself. Whoever he was texting had his full undivided attention and the road was just an afterthought. I swear, this man did not care about my life. I pulled out my own phone and quickly took a picture of him, making sure my flash was on.
He almost dropped the device and looked at me for a split second before looking back at the road, "Did you just take a picture of me?"
"I did."
"And why'd you do that?"
"So I can get my money," I shrugged my shoulders. "Texting and driving is against the law and I'm turning you in for my reward."
He laughed, "Delete the picture, Sydney."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
"Do I at least look good in it?"
"You resemble a wet rat."
He laughed some more and turned his phone off, sitting it to the side. I looked at the picture I just took and smiled. I was only able to get the side of his face but it was still pretty cool. His hair was blowing in the wind from his window being rolled all the way down. His hand was tightly wrapped around his phone and his thumb was working its magic on the small keyboard. If I was some creep, I would have made this picture my phone's wallpaper. Unfortunately, I did not have the guts to do that. My boring watermelon wallpaper was here to stay and there was not much I could do about it.
I looked over at Harry, "Can we get some watermelon?"
"Watermelon, eh?" he chuckled. "Aren't we supposed to be getting your stuff to storage?"
"Yeah, of course, but I didn't mean now. I meant once everything is finished. Imagine it. You, Greysen, and I laid back by your pool with slices of watermelon. That'd be so cool. I would say the fish could join us but who's going to move that big ass aquarium? Not me."
"I'm assuming you and Greysen are on good terms, then?"
"Yes," I said, looking back at the moving truck behind us.
No.
I wanted to run that bitch over.
And then go in reverse.
I smiled at the thought.
"Since you're moving in, I guess I should go ahead and tell you the rules while we're here," Harry exhaled and I sat up straight, ready for the rules he was about to throw my way. "The guest bathroom upstairs is yours. Decorate it how you want but make sure you keep it clean. I keep the mop and everything else in the closet downstairs. If you need help with something, don't hesitate to come ask. I have plenty of food but if you decide to cook while I'm home, please share, yeah? I like food. If you break something, you buy it. Also, I go to bed around eleven. I lock my bedroom door so if you need me, knock loud enough to wake me up."
I raised my eyebrows, "Why do you lock your door when you live alone?"
"Oh, I almost forgot." He ignored my question completely, causing me to become even more suspicious. "Please don't have guests over without asking me first. I know I'm letting you move in and you're going to be paying for your room, but it's still my house and I don't want anything bad happening to my stuff."
