Kim's P.O.V.
I was looking for Alex when I was told she was in bunker 9 with a certain son of Hephaestus. "Oooooo, getting saucy eh Alex?" I whispered to myself.
I decided to take a walk through the woods, only to find who was bugging me. "Nico?" He looked up and stared at me for a few seconds then turned his attention back to the ground. "Hi" he said in a low tone. I walked towards him and popped a squat next to him.
"How's it going?" I said nervously, hoping he wouldn't catch on.
"Isn't it obvious?" He said in a raspy yet gentle voice.
"Well, no actually"
"Oh, right" he looked down at his shoes.
"I want to get to know you better" I blurted out, but quickly put my hands over my mouth. He stared at me, wide eyed in confusion. "Why me?" He said angrily, but it felt as if he was on the verge of tears. "Because you seem interesting and someone that I could be good friends with" I gave him a smile.
Nico's P.O.V.
She gave me a smile. 'Good friends. If only she knew. I wish we could be more....' I thought to myself. I continued to stare at her, lost in thoughts. "Nico, are you okay?" I woke up from my trance with a jump. "Fine, why?" She stared at with concern in her face. "You seem out of it" she stated. "I'm fine" I turned my gaze to the other side if the forest. I couldn't look at her without feeling pain in my heart.
"So? What do you say?"
"Huh?"
"My offer"
"Oh"
"Yeah"
"I'll do it" I said no turning my gaze from the forest. "Great!" She smiled and handed me a piece of paper before heading back to camp. Taking further inspection of it, it paper had her phone number written on it.
