Alex's P.O.V.
We flew over Manhattan, on Festus. I looked at the city and my heart broke; this was my home and I couldn't leave it, even for a quest. Leo squeezed my hand in reassurance. I smiled at him and kept looking forward. Kim was looking at the scenery, her long dark hair flowing three feet behind us. I leaned back onto Leo's chest, suddenly feeling tired. He stroked my hair and fell asleep in an instant.
I was standing in front of a large throne. It was dark. Lights shot on and temporarily blinded me. Once my eye sight had grown familiar with the amount of light, I lowered my hands and stared at the powerful being occupying the throne. A man I recognized as Hephaestus, stared at me from the seat. "I see you and my son have grown quite close" he chuckled. "Y-yes sir" a blush erupted onto my cheeks and I almost Burst into flames. "Well, I can tell he really likes you". I looked in shock at the buff, greasy God. "Really?!" He gave a hardy laugh. "Of course! I also talked to my wife, who says you too are destined to marry! She also mentioned you two being her, what was it called? OTP?"
I chuckled. "Well thank you sir". His smile faltered. "A-about your quest" he started "you must find my gemstone wrench". I tilted my head in confusion. "Gemstone wrench?" He sighed. "That wrench is powerful enough to destroy several cities or states at a time. If landed in the wrong hands, the world may be destroyed." He stared with a look of pity. "You must search for it. You first have to go to Florida; a child named Mackenzie Miller has it in her clutches. She is a daughter of Nemesis, meaning she wants revenge and will get her way as long as she has it." I nodded, now aware of what we must search for. "Oh, and take care of my son". His smile was sad and broken. "Of.....of course!!" The scene changed.
I saw Leo. He was about eleven when I saw him in this image. He held one of my inventions. A little bunch of random pieces that created a Rubix cube like thing. If you pressed a button, it would open from all directions and reveal a metal skull and a metal rectangle that I had signed. My eyes teared as I saw him look at it with such sadness. He sighed and held the box to his chest. "If only you knew". He muttered. "If only you understood how I feel about you. Sometimes you're so oblivious, it......it aggravates me!" He slammed his fist onto the desk. My eyes widened and I finally realized how he felt. I felt horrible. I knew I basically ripped his heart out and stomped on it, but I loved him too. "I love her...." His tears ruined his blueprints and he wiped his eyes.
"I love you too, Leo..." I whispered. He must have heard it, because he looked around the room for the voice that came from my ghostly self. The scene changed to Nico. I could tell this was recent or most likely in the present. He was sitting on his bed, looking at the picture that I had in my room with me and Kim. "Hey! That was on my nightstand!" I said grumpily. He didn't hear me and kept staring at the photo. "Please live....."
Again my vision had changed the scenery. I saw a bleach blonde girl with icy blue eyes that looked like if they cracked beneath you, you'd freeze with seconds. She held a shining sky colored wrench with such an evil smile, it sent chills down my spine. "Thank you mom. Now all that stand in my way will perish." My hope vanished as she finished that sentence. Daughter of Nemesis..... I wanted to crawl into a corner and cry. She seemed so determined that she would succeed, it made me believe her. She waved it behind her and fire erupted and burned all things that stood behind the blonde. She laughed. It made me wish I was Tartarus.
She gripped the wrench tighter, leaving into the darkness. Leo once again entered my vision. He was carrying my sleeping body through the dark woods, Kim next to him, Festus not far behind. It was night and I was still out cold. Kim leaned against a tree and knocked out whilst Leo sat me down gently, laid down and moved my unconscious body onto his, so my upper body was on his chest. He stared at the sky. "I love you, Alex."
