We were driving along, when I managed to doze off again. I dreamt about a wedding, definitely not a girl's dream wedding, but a man's', and that is when I knew. . .
I woke up after hitting a speed bump. I gurgled. "I keep falling asleep on you. I am sorry," I said, still half asleep.
"Don't be, you need your rest." He said chuckling a bit.
I felt woozy and my head was spinning. "How long did I sleep," I added, "again?"
He laughed, "A shorter amount of time, but I am glad you're up, we are almost there." He smiled.
Just then his phone went off. "Can you get that for me?" He asked, putting on his blinker.
"Sure." I said stretching my arms, and then snatching his phone. "It's Vanessa Hudgens." I said.
"Uh, ignore the call." I hit the ignore button, putting his phone back in the cup holder.
I sat back now closing my eyes. "Bayleigh, don't fall asleep on me." Josh pleaded.
"I'm not, just resting my eyes." I said in a relaxing voice.
"Fine, be that way." He said, sarcastically.
My eyes shot open. "Which park are we going to?"
He thought for a second before answering, "I don't know the name, just a park that is nice and quiet," he said, "most of the time."
I closed my eyes waiting for unconsciousness, but it never came.
When we arrived, I was speechless. "Oh my," was all I could get out.
We stepped out of the car, walking past the front entrance which was a bridge hanging over a small stream, which lead to the most amazing park I could have ever laid my eyes on.
The site was breathtaking. We weren't in the mountains anymore, but this park had a beautiful lake. Kids were screaming and running around, most laughing, soccer moms gossiping, and cute teen couples. The site made me grin. "Do you like it?" He asked.
"Josh, like doesn't describe what I feel for this place." I said taking in a deep breath.
"I thought you'd like it." I could hear a smile in his voice. "Come on, let's go sit down." He motioned me toward a bench.
I could see the whole park from this very spot and let me just say. Only two things could compare to its' beauty; the deer and the Josh Hutcherson. I could smell the pine trees. Just then a boy with a water gun came up to Josh and I, squirting Josh with the water gun. Josh started laughing and put his hands out in front of him. I giggled at the sight. "You think this is funny?" Josh asked laughing a bit, but eyes wide.
"Yes, very much so." I laughed.
"Oh, really?"
By this time all the kids were squirting Josh, but Josh picked me up by my waist and held me out in front of him as a shield, the water hit me and I shrieked. Josh started spinning me around which made me start laughing. Everything else in the world became still, there was no one else besides for us two. He set me down on the ground and smiled at me. "Wasn't that fun now, was it?" He asked in a triumphant tone.
"No!" I shouted with fake fury, "it was really fun!" I shouted.
He chuckled.
