Josh let out a chuckle. "I had thought so. Most girls ask me for something weird." He continued to chuckle.
"Well, I am definitely not like most girls." I smiled. This was the truth, and I was happy that I was able to say it.
"Bayleigh, I don't think you should have went mute," Josh spoke with all seriousness in his voice, "You seem like fun and like a nice person. No one should go mute. Besides, you probably gave them pleasure not talking, when you should have-"
"Show them who's boss." I cut him off, ending the sentence with a smile.
I had said this before and it had actually worked, but I was too hurt to think of it at the time when I decided to take my vow of silence. "Josh," I started, "why are you being so nice to me?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" He asked.
"Because, I am nothing but just another fan. . ." I trailed off.
"So? Just because you are a fan, doesn't mean I can't be nice, right?"
"Right. But are you just being nice because I am your fan?"
"I'll answer that when we become closer friends, Bayleigh. Alright?"
"Alright," I smiled shyly, trying not to blush.
He had said that we were friends and that we'd become even closer friends, I feel so loved. Something that I haven't felt for a long time, and that wasn't even half of it. I was in Josh Hutcherson's car, with the Josh Hutcherson, the celebrity that I had been in love with for what felt like forever. Maybe becoming mute for those years weren't so bad, maybe they helped me find this moment. Becoming mute was the only reason I was in this car. Right now, with the Josh Hutcherson.
Becoming mute was the best thing that could have ever happened to me.
