Chapter 8

Carl pov
She fell asleep in my arms and I pulled her close to me, never wanting to let go.
She kissed me back, does that me she likes me back?
She slept for around an hour it was dark it was 11pm ish.
I noticed they she started to struggle when she was sleeping.

Enid's PoV
"ENID!!!"
His voice so quiet and he was so young .
"ENID HELP ME"
"JOSH!!"
"JOSH WHERE ARE YOU!!"
I ran so fast and I was panicking like mad.
My heart was beating so fast.
"JOSHY!!!!!!" I screamed and I saw a man grabbing him and dragging him away, I tried to run to him but I got held back by my dad.
My mom in tears next to me.
"Baby, we'll find him"

*end of dream*

I woke up panting and I spring up and sat upright.
I started crying then I felt Carl sit up and I tried to hide it but the tears just poured out.
"It's- m-y-y fault" I stuttered.
He pulled me close and started to cradle me.
"It's okay. Shhhh, I got you now" he whispered while rubbing my back.
"Im... So-sorry" I sniffled.
"Shhh, it's okay" he cuddled me and I stopped crying and we laid down together and I fell back asleep just before I dazed off I felt Carl's lips kiss my forehead.
"Your safe I got you now" he whimpered.
We both drifted to sleep.

When I woke up again it was only becoming light.
I need to go out.
I grabbed my bag and put everything in it, I slung cross bow on my back and I opened the door quietly then I walked down stairs and out of the house leaving Carl and his family enjoy there sleep.
I walked to the walls behind Carl's house and there was a metal pole with holes in it, one he floor were a load of metal sticks.
I used the stick as a sort of ladder and climbed the fence.
I jumped off the fence and over the walls.
I stood on the outside of Alexandria, it looked beautiful.
The sun was shining there were no walkers, not even any noise.

I started walking down the main road outside, I finally felt at peace, more out here then I was in there. It's Weird the worlds so dangerous people say. But to me it's just so beautiful and I think this is where I belong, out here not inside.

I'm going to go back, grab all my stuff and then I'm leaving not coming back.
Don't get me wrong I'll miss everyone but I just don't feel right in there. I began walking back because I must of walked for a few miles or so.
I strolled up the road for a little while before coming across something weird, it wasn't there one the way here?
I got closer and Noticed a flipped car and two walkers outside, I was just going to leave it but then I heard a girl shout,
"Help!"
I huft.
"Please! I cant get out "
"Okay hang on" I shouted back.
I pulled my cross bow off my back and shot down the two walkers I pulled the walkers away from the door, I kicked in the window and pulled out the girl.
She looked around the same age as me, she was in the car with a man but he didn't make it.
I lifted the girl up to her feet she had blood dripping down her forehead.
"Here" I smiled and gave her a piece of cloth and she whipped her forehead.
" thank you" she smiled.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Uh in pain that's all" I looked down the man in the car.
"I'm sorry for you lose" i put my hand in her shoulder, she shrugged.
"I was just having a lift from him" she giggled and I laughed.
"Sad though, the worlds just killing us off one by one" she spoke and looked to her feet.
"Have you got a camp?" I asked her.
"No you?" I nodded.
"You can join, but you just have to answer some questions first"....

Carl's PoV
"I don't know Maggie, she just left this morning. We fell asleep together and she woke up at some point cause of a bad dream then we went back to sleep and after that I ... Don't know"
Maggie rolled her eyes and walked over to Glenn.
This morning I woke up and Enid was gone I just figured she had gone gone, then Maggie and Glenn had come over and asked dad where she was she hadn't come home.
Dads decided that we would wait a little while and if there was no sign of her we'd go out and get her.
"Maggie" dad said.
"I'm sure she's fine" she nodded.
"I just feel like she's my responsibility she like my... Uh I just want to find her" I smiled at Maggie.
"I wanna find her too" i looked at my feet, I felt a hand fall on my shoulder.
"I wanna find her aswell and we will" I looked up at daryl.

Enid's PoV

"Okay so let's get to know eachother?" She asked me.
"Uh sure" I smiled and we sat on a walk at the side of the road.
"Well first of all my name Chloe but people call me 'C' I'm 15 years old and I've been alone For around a month now"
"Oh well I hey 'C'. My names Enid im 15 aswell, i was alone for a few years but then I met Carl and his group and they took me in and I lived with them but I'm not there now"
I said while frowning.
"Why aren't you there now?"
"I uh, wanted a break, I'm just so used to being alone and outside that I didn't feel welcome there" she smiled at me.
It starting getting dark so we made camp in a tree.
We tied ourselves to the trees.
"Enid?" She whimpered.
"Yeah" I said not opening my eyes.
"Don't leave me" she sniffled.
"I won't, you can come home with me and live with me like a sister" she sniffled and whimpered.
"Thank you" then she dozed off to sleep.
I couldn't sleep, I just lay there thinking about Carl and Maggie.
"Goodnight Carl" I whispered to myself.

* sorry for all the PoV swaps I figured it would be nice to see what going on with them both
