Chapter 9

Carl's pov

5 days it's been, 5 days since we last saw her. Since I last saw Enid...
We looked for her all day, everyday.
No tracks, no sign of life.
She could be dead.
She probably is dead. I finally found someone and now I've lost her.
What am I gunna do?

My dad keeps telling me that she'll find us or we'll find her. I really wish we do, not just for me but for Maggie she feels lost with out Enid.
We all do, she's family now.
We're going to find her now, I need to find her.

Enid's pov

"Aghhhhhhh" I heard her screaming, I also felt my body laying flat on the floor.
There were around ten men stood around us, each holding guns and they had 'w' on their foreheads.
My thoughts were cut off by someone lifting me up.
"Lookie ere' she awake" I felt the rough hands of a man grip my hips and spin me around. He bent to me so we were face to face.
I lifted my knee fast and it hit him in the stomach and I grabbed the gun out of his hand.
"Let go of her" I shouted and pointed the gun at them.
That's when I felt a sharp pain in my side, I fell to the floor and I was dizzy I never took my eyes off of Chloe.
"Let's teach them a lesson" my vision became more blurry although I could just see Chloe being pushed around by these men and all of a sudden two of them were shot next thing I know they were all down.
I got really dizzy, my side was in agony.
"Enid?" I headed a familiar voice say before I blanked out completely.

I awoke to the muffled sound of voices, sound of people.
"Owe" I whimpered as I tired to sit up.
"Oh my god Enid your awake" before I could even open my eyes I felt someone's arms wrap around me.
"Ouch!" I screamed and opened my eyes.
"Sorry forgot you were stabbed" I knew it was Chloe by her giggles.
"It's okay, where are we?" My voice Croaked and C gave me a glass of water.
"I think it's call-" she was cut off by the door slamming open.
"Oh my god Enid your alive!" It was daryl and Maggie.
Maggie ran to me and hugged me.
"I missed you so much" Maggie whimpered.
"I won't leave again I'm sorry" I cried.
"Well you if you didn't I wouldn't be here" Chloe joked.
"I agree, next time don't go alone" Maggie smiled.
"No love you maggie" we both smiled I hugged her and said.
"I love you too" daryl coughed for attention.
"And you daryl,  come here"
He came over and lifted me out of bed and into a hug.
"Gentle" I joked.
"Sorry Enid. I did miss you btw" he smiled.
Daryl put his arm around me and supported me out of the room to the middle of the street everyone was outside and the sun was blinding me.
I rubbed my eyes and squinted, there he was right infront of me.
"Carl!!" I shouted. He ran to me and kissed me.
I pulled away.
"Uh hi to you too" I giggled. He went red and hugged me.
"Don't ever leave me like that again!" He said it really angrily.
I kissed him,
We both pulled apart.
"I won't leave you" we both smiled and after a long night of reunions and telling a off about being alone.
"Okay okay I get it, but I did find C for what does it matter?" We all laughed and I put my hand on my side where I have been stabbed.
"Chlo?" I paused and everyone was starring at me.
"Yeah? " she said really confused.
"What did those men do to you?" She put her head down.
"They just hit me but they... They were going to make you suffer in front of me and then they'd kill me." She came and sat by me.
She hugged me.
"But then your friends came along and saved us" I smiled.
"And you saved me" she added again.
"I'm glad I saved you" I smiled and hugged her.
I stood up and began to walk out the door.
"Where you going?"  I looked at the window where Carl was sat out there on his own.
"Carl" I smiled and kept walking.

i got outside and shivered and i sat next to carl.

he didnt even look at me, he just let his head lay low.

"Carl?" he looked up, his eyes were red and he looked like he had been crying.

"whats wrong ?" i put my hand on his hand and he flinched,

he stood up and whipped his eyes.

"please dont leave..." he whipped the tears off his cheeks.

i stood up and wrapped my arms around him and he pulled me closer.

"im sorry carl i cant say i wont leave "i pulled away and put my hands around his neck,

"but i can say that ....i love you"

then he kissed me, his hand moved from my waist to my hips. he pulled me by my hips so we were as close as we could get.

he pulled away and smiled,

"i love you too btw" i giggled and we both sat on the bench, he put his arm around me and i cuddled into his chest.
"Night baby" he exhaled.
