Chapter Six: Another Scheme

Uma stood before the other VKs, caressing her finger on her sword's handle. She paced back and forth in front of them, with a slight grin on her face. She stopped and studied Aria's face, "Dang. Nice job. An Auradon mind slave. I applaud you." she clapped her hands 3 times. Marissa twirled her hair, "Thanks Uma." Quinn cackled, "We could really use your help."

Francis took a step forward, "No. No, no. No we do not. I completely had the situation under control." Uma chuckled, "Francis, Francis, Francis." she walked up to him "You were always jealous of me." Francis's eyebrows furrowed, "'Jealous'!" he laughed "Ha! Ha, ha. Nope. No, I am not jealous. What in the world is there to be jealous of?"

Uma shrugged, "But I completely understand why, I mean... I was the new leader of The Isle after Mal left... and not you. But you can understand why, right? I mean... you don't have any real power-" "Yes I do!" "No!" Uma exclaimed "Your 'friends' do. Just because you've mastered it better than your oaf of a father doesn't mean anything."

Hugh shot back, "Francis is very powerful and intelligent. He's taken us this far." Uma rolled her eyes, "And yet here we are. You had no life back on the Isle that you studied magic day and night on an island with no magic. One mess up and you'll be punished. Because your power has limitations. Not like mine." she laughed "So... do you want my help or not?" Eventually, they all came to an agreement and accepted Uma's help.

Uma put her hands on her hips, "I have a few spells that we might need memorized. So here's the plan..." Uma told to the other VKs what they were all going to do. Just by the tone of her voice, you could clearly tell that she was still bitter towards Ben and the rest of Auradon and that she had been planning this for a long time.

After she finished explaining her scheme to them, they all got into their positions. Once they were ready, Uma made the signal to commence step one. Uma was a natural-born leader and she did anything she could to take control.

Quinn and Marissa walked over to the front entrance of the museum; in front of the guards. "No, I have better hair!" whined Marissa. "Pah-lease! It looks like you have a mop on your head." Marissa gasped, "You take that back!" Quinn folded her arms across her chest, "Why don't you make me!" Then, they broke out into a cat fight until the guards ran up to try and break them up.

Uma and Aria slipped inside while they were distracted. Aria went up to the front desk while Uma hid behind some armor. Aria talked to the front desk lady about the gift shop and other random things while Uma began the spell, "Security cameras and alarms alike, disarm them so we stay out of sight." she whisper-chanted. A flash of magical light came and everything turned off.

She took a sigh of relief and motioned towards Aria. "...where can I find the Villain Kids' Gallery?" The desk woman gave her some brief directions. "Thanks," said Aria as she began walking over that way. Uma cast a sleeping spell on the woman before doing the same to the guards outside. "Come on in." She held the door open for the others to enter. "Now we're getting somewhere." Quinn said.

They all ran to catch up to Aria and followed her to the Gallery of VKs. It wasn't as huge as the Gallery of Villains, but it was still pretty big. They had added it only a few months ago so it was still somewhat under construction. The gallery had Evie's mirror and some other things VKs had given up when they turned good.

The VKs had finally spotted Mal's spell book. Marissa was about to run up and grab it when Uma held her wrist and sarcastically chuckled, "Just what do you think you're doing?"
Marissa looked confused, "I thought we came in here to get the book."
Quinn slapped her forehead, "No duh, genius. It's still protected."
Francis protested, "But I thought Uma disabled all of the security."
Uma nodded, "I did. But this might still be guarded by magic. Better safe than sorry. Wouldn't you know that!?"
Francis groaned, "What's that supposed to mean!?"
Hugh split them up, "Okay, stop fighting and let Uma do her thing."

Uma smiled evilly at him before casting the spell to undo the protection one. Cautiously, she grabbed the book. The VKs did a mini-celebration. Uma took a sigh of relief, "Now, let's get out of here before-" Just then she turned around and saw Aria about to grab something "NO!" All 5 VKs rushed over towards her, stopping her just before she laid a finger on it.

Quinn scoffed, "Okay. We've already used her for what we needed, let's get rid of her now before she gets us into more trouble. She's bugging me." Francis nodded, "Agreed. I'll undo it as soon as we're out of here." They headed out of the museum, "Hang on." says Uma "Let me finish the job." She waved her hands and whispered an enchantment that caused a wave of magic over everyone in the museum.

"What did that do?" Hugh asked. "Now when they wake up, they won't remember anything. They'll think that it was just another boring evening." Francis rolled his eyes, "Whatever. Let's just consider ourselves lucky that we didn't run into any problems or anyone else."

Francis undid the spell over Aria and let her go. Little did any of the VKs know, Aria remembered everything. But they threatened her so she would she be too shy or scared to let Ben and Mal know what had happened. Something in her really wanted to be a part of their group, but she knew that it was wrong for they were rotten to the core. But she finally felt like she belonged in something for once.

Since Aria had gotten a taste of breaking the rules, she knew exactly what the next thing she wanted to was going to be.
