Chapter Seven: Chillin' Like a Villain

Evie had a fashion collection where the AKs could add some edge to their Auradon style. Aria never went because she didn't spend money on things like that, but she took some of her parents money so she could finally buy an outfit.

Aria knocked on her door. "It's open!" she heard Evie say. She entered timidly, "Hi Evie." Evie turned around, "Oh, Aria. What can I do for you?" Aria sat down in a chair, "I was wondering if I could have a dress from your 'Chillin' Like a Villain' collection."

Evie gasped. "Huh? What?" Aria questioned. "This is your first purchase?" Aria nodded "Then that means you buy one and get one free!" Aria smiled, "Cool. Now, work your magic." Evie took her up onto the step, "So, we could go with your traditional colors, but also add some others like... gold. Yes!"

It was a process of about 20 minutes, but eventually Evie got her two outfits. Ine red and green dress and one that looked like Mal's old outfit, but with Aria's colors. "Thanks Evie." Aria said, handing her the money. "No problem, Aria. You should come more often. I have lots of outfits with your colors you might like."

Aria changed into her new outfit. It was now night and all of Auradon was heading back to their dorms. "If I were a villain, where would I be?" she asked herself "Well, the Isle, but... and I'm talking to myself, aren't I?"

"Yes, yes you are." said a voice from behind her. She whirled around, it was Hugh. "Oh... hi." Hugh bowed, "So you were looking for us?" Aria nodded, "Yes. I sort of... kinda... wanted to keep hanging with you guys." Uma came out from the shadows, laughing, "Oh no. No no no. That was a one time thing. And I'm not letting the daughter of my sworn enemy join my crew."

"Your crew?" says Francis. "Where are you?" Aria asked. "I prefer to stay in the shadows." he says. "Yeah, he's weird like that." Marissa teased. "What makes you think you can just join us?" Aria shrugged, "I just... I don't have any other friends." Uma cackled, "We're not your friends."

Aria tried to sound tough, "We have a lot in common though, you know. I know what it's like to feel left out and... different." Hugh rubbed his chin, "If we... were to let you hang with us... what'd be in it for us?" Aria then replied, "I can help with whatever you need. I mean, I don't know what your plan is, but maybe everyone will think you're good and won't be suspicious?"

Uma shook her head, "I don't trust you. And I don't need you, we're going to take down that barrier and we're going to do it without you." Aria crossed her arms, "Let me in or I'll tell Fairy Godmother, Ben, and Mal what you're up to... and that Uma's back."

Uma clenched her fists, "I'll spell you before I let that happen." Aria chuckled, "I slip out of things very easily." Uma groaned, "Ugh. Fine, but if you cause any trouble at all or even peep anything to anyone, you will pay!" Aria smiled, "Deal."

Aria had always been fascinated by the villain kids and always wondered what it would be like to live on the Isle. She never felt like she really belonged in Auradon and didn't really want to be proper or follow the strict rules all of the time. Her mother and father spent more time with her older sister Melody anyway. Now, she'd prove herself to Uma and the others and help as much as she could.

You can stay in my dorm," Aria offered "It's decent-sized and I don't have a roommate anymore." Her sister used to be her roommate before she graduated at Auradon Prep and went of to college at Arcadia Academy. Uma scoffed, "Fine."

Aria still wanted to be included and know what was going on, so she probed, "Um... So, what are you four planning on doing?" Marissa was the one to reply, "So Uma's not powerful enough to take down the barrier by herself and Fairy Godmother hid her wand because of all the failed attempts to steal it and-" Uma stopped her, "That's enough information for now. She can wait until she's earned our trust to hear the rest." She shrugged, "That's fair."

Aria tried to be as bad as she could be, but she couldn't hide her shy and nice roots. And with time, the truth will always surface.

Ben let out a long sigh, "Mrs. Potts? You're sure she hasn't left a message?" Mrs. Potts answered over the phone, "No, Ben. I'm sorry." He kept his composure, "Can you make sure someone tells her to come to my office today?" "I'll do my best, sir." she replied before hanging up.

Ben hadn't seen Mal since that night and even since then, he's been busier than ever. He longed for at least 10 minutes with her. He'd do it after he was done for the day, but it was late and he was tired. And besides, Mal would probably be sleeping or something.

He was the only one out of his friends who weren't going to college. He was a full time king now while Carlos, Evie, Jay, Mal, and the others were all looking into the college classes Auradon Prep had to offer.

Because of this, Ben had cut his friend and girlfriend time by more than half. He would run away right that second and propose to her, but he wanted it to be special. Not forced or rushed. Perhaps the place that they first met or went on their first date.

But all of that seemed impossible now. He had no spare time, especially lately with all of the business he had to take care of. His dad made it look so easy. "Fairy Godmother," he says "Clear my schedule for tomorrow... I'm taking the day off."
