People always talk about getting cold feet before they get married. I guess it's because just before you commit to spending the rest of your life with one person, you suddenly realize the length of forever. It's so impossible to comprehend an infinite length of time that the thought of making such a commitment frightens people beyond belief. Still, despite my issues with commitment in the past, I found myself experiencing an odd mixture of adrenaline and calm the night before my wedding to Connor.

We kissed in the open doorway, my arms flung around his neck as he held me tightly to his chest. We hummed against each other's mouths, smiling as we pushed our lips together until we were breathless, neither one of us wanting to say goodbye.

"I should probably go," he sighed, pulling away to rest his forehead against mine.

"Probably," I laughed, unlocking my hands from around his neck and flattening my palms against his shirt, "I can practically hear Lincoln tapping his foot impatiently from the car."

Connor chuckled, his thumbs slowly rubbing a small length of my spine. "He can wait. I'm saying goodbye to my girl."

I rolled my eyes, though I appreciated the sentiment. "You're making it sound like I'm not going to see you for months, when in fact, we'll see each other tomorrow."

A goofy grin stretched his lips. "Tomorrow. We're getting married tomorrow."

I found his excitement adorable and was unable to control the grin which automatically lit my face at the thought of being married to Connor. Perhaps it was because never for a moment since he told me he loved me had I ever doubted his words. Connor was my forever and I couldn't wait to spend the rest of my life with him.

"Yes we are," I smiled in response.

"I can't wait," he whispered as he dipped his head to kiss me once more, brushing his lips lightly against mine as he pulled away, "I love you."

"I love you," I mumbled against his mouth as he pecked me once more before stepping away.

The distance signified it was time for him to leave, and I raised a hand to wave as he backed out the door. Bringing his fingers to his lips, he blew me a kiss before hitching his bag higher on his shoulder, turning, and walking towards the car waiting on the road.

Sighing, I waved goodbye and shut the door, only to turn and nearly have a heart attack upon finding Haley smirking as she leaned against the staircase.

"What?" I asked innocently.

She shrugged and laughed. "You guys are so cute it's actually disgusting."

Laughing, I walked past her into the kitchen. "I'm so thankful for your support, Hales."

"If I don't make fun of you, who else will?" she asked as she followed me into the next room and hopped up onto the granite counter top.

I laughed as I pulled open the fridge and took out a bottle of orange juice. Smiling, I rolled my eyes jokingly as I twisted open the cap and took a sip.

The past few days had been beyond amazing. Connor, Sophie, and I had driven to the suburbs, arriving a week before the wedding. We had spent the next few days finalizing all the preparations before Connor had packed his bags and left for the hotel with other groomsmen, while Haley, Sophie and I stayed in his house with his mother and siblings.

The wedding itself was to take place in the local park. There was a gorgeous meadow surrounded by trees, all of which were currently budding with the most beautiful flowers I had ever seen in my life. I already knew the ceremony was going to be the epitome of perfection.
