Henry's POV

When mom opened the door to the loft I smiled. I walked in Luke right behind me.

"Emma, your back earlier than I expected! Is Henry okay! What happened at the well" my grandmother said, clearly distracted with making dinner, not noticing Luke and I walking in behind Mom. Mom glanced back at me as I sat on a stool at the counter Luke right next to me.

"Henry's fine, actually we found some stuff out today that is pretty interesting," Mom said smiling. Grandma turned around clearly interested in what Mom said. When she saw me he eyes widened.

"Who are you?" She asked looking from me to Mom. Mom's smile grew bigger.

"That's Henry!" Mom said coming behind me and Luke putting her arms around our shoulders. "Oh, and this is Luke, Henry's friend," Mom said gesturing to Luke.

"Wait, how are you Henry? Henry's only 15!" Grandma said.

"I was, until I was thrown into a different dimension and took 7 years to get back to this one," I said giving a weak smile. Grandma gave me a confused look. So I gave her the same explanation I gave everyone else, with Luke interjecting again when needed.

"Wow," she said. The timer to the oven went off, meaning dinner was ready. By then grandpa was home and we all sat around the table. Dinner was baked spaghetti. As we ate Luke kept looking over to me waiting to see if I would be the one to break the awkward silence.

"So Luke, Henry has said that your from this dimension, but where are you from? You defiantly have an acent," Mom asked

"West London, Ealing to be exact," Luke said smiling.

"How did you end up in a different dimension?" Grandpa asked.

"Well its kind of complicated," Luke said looking over to me as if asking where to start. I decided to take over for him for a second.

"Why don't you start off with your mom, that might be easier to explain," I said to Luke. He nodded.

"Well, my mom is a journalist, when she was younger she was following a lead on a story and she met this guy called the Doctor," Luke said grinning.

"Doctor who?" Mom asked. Luke and I started laughing. "What?" Mom asked.

"Nothing sorry, the Doctor's name is just the Doctor," Luke said.

"That's weird," Mom said.

"So is being an alien with two hearts!" I said. Luke hit my arm. "Ow," I said pretending to look hurt.

"I was getting there, anyway, as Henry said, the Doctor is an alien with two hearts, he's called a time lord, who he is is a long story and I would rather not get into it right now, anyway, my mom traveled with him in his TARDIS, that's his time and space travel machine, meeting a lot of aliens along the way. Finally she decided to come back to Earth and stay, thinking that she would never see him again, she met him a few years ago again, because she went back to journalism, so she kind of got back into the alien thing, she makes sure they don't invade Earth along with me and my freinds, she adopted me a few years ago, that's a story in itself, but we ended up getting into some trouble with some aliens, I wont go into the details, but I ended up getting basically transported into the dimension where I found Henry. Well the rest Henry has said," Luke said finishing up his long explanation.

"So you ended up in a different dimension because of some aliens?" Mom asked.

"Yep," Luke said. Grandpa shrugged.

"Not the weirdest thing we've encountered," Grandpa said. By then everyone had finished dinner. I yawned.

"You tired?" Grandma asked.

"Yeah, dimensional travel really takes it out of you," I said getting up and grabbing Luke and my plates and putting them in the sink. I saw Luke yawn. "Do you guys mind if Luke stays here?" I asked.

"I don't see why not, we can dig out some blankets and he could sleep on the couch if that's alright with you Luke," Grandma said. I looked to Luke for a second, he nodded fine with the idea.

"Thanks Grandma!" I said hugging her. After getting situated Luke went to bed on the couch. The last thing I thought of before falling asleep on my bed was that it was good to be home.
