Henry's POV
I woke up facing Luke. I smiled and started getting out of bed. Luke sat up rubbing his eyes. "Morning," I said quietly trying not to wake up Mom.
"Morning," he said. We quickly got dressed and tiptoed down the stairs. Grandma and Grandpa were both still sleeping. I looked at the clock, it was 7:30. I quickly wrote a note telling them that I was going to give Luke a small tour of the town and eat breakfast at Granny's. I said that we would meet up with them later. I grabbed my backpack and Luke and I walked out the door quietly.
"I'm surprised we didn't wake anyone," Luke said as we walked down the stairs.
"We're pretty good at being quiet," I said. Luke laughed.
"They're just like you described them, although I think your mum dosen't really trust me very much," Luke said.
"Well you haven't really talked to my other mom yet, she's the one who might not warm up to you as quick," I said chuckling. We walked down main street in the crisp morning air.
"So, where to first?" Luke asked.
"Only the best food in town, Granny's!" I said as we stopped in front of the diner. We walked in and the bell above the door rang. We took a seat at a booth. I looked around and saw the diner was as full as usual. Ruby walked over to us.
"Hey Henry, did you do something with your hair? You look different," Ruby said with a laugh. I stood up and hugged her.
"How did you know it was me?" I said sitting back down.
"Your scent, its been off the last week or so, and then your dad came in last night and asked for a room, I made him explain things, he wasn't lying when he said you grew up," she said. "Who's this?" She asked gesturing to Luke.
"I'm Luke Smith, I was stuck with Henry in the other dimensions," Luke said politely.
"Well it's great to meet you Luke, thanks for keeping him safe," Ruby said.
"No problem, we protected each other," Luke said.
"So what would you guys like?" Ruby asked.
"Hot cocoa with cinnamon and a bagel for me, what would you like Luke?" I said.
"The same for me please, thanks," he said.
"Coming right up," Ruby said.
"So, she's the wolf," Luke asked. I nodded. "She's nice," Luke said. I nodded again, I could see the wheels turning in his head. "Should we tell her?" Luke asked.
"About, the thing, not yet, I'm sure she'll figure it out anyway," I said glancing over at Ruby who was taking orders. We sat there in awkward silence for a minute.
"How are we going to get your dad to be an adult again?" Luke asked me.
"I'm not sure yet, I'll ask Gold how he did it in the first place and then I'll work from there," I said.
"Here you go, if you guys need anything else just ask," Ruby said placing our food in front of us.
"Thanks," I said. I took a sip of the hot cocoa. "Man, I've missed this," I said licking the whipped cream from my lips. Luke chuckled and took a sip of his as well. Ruby ran over.
"Emma just called, she said she needed me to help her with something, care to come?" She asked. I grinned and looked to Luke.
"Of course!" I said jumping up. We ran to Ruby's car and jumped in. "Did she give you any details?" I asked.
