One Week Later

Luke's POV

We rushed to the loft to search for the page and the key. We needed to stop Issac the author from whatever he was about to do. I ran up the stairs to search for the key while Henry searched for the page. Snow and Charming followed us. Right as I found the key everything went black.

When I woke up I was laying on the floor. I got up and looked around. Everyone was missing. I walked down the stairs and went to where I had last seen Henry. He was gone but the page of the book sat where he once was. I picked up the page and folded it up tucking it into my pocket. I walked out of the loft and walked down Main Street. It looked like the town was empty. I saw Emma's car.

I hopped in and found the keys. I put them in the ignition and turned it. The car was out of gas. I sighed and got out. I looked around and saw Regina's car. I got in her's finding the keys already in the ignition and I turned them and the car started. I let out a sigh of relief. I needed to figure out where everyone was. I needed help. I knew the perfect person to help me. I quickly drove to the loft, grabbed Henry's backpack full of his storybook, around fifty dollars, and my phone. Let's hope no one asked me for my drivers license because I had lost it a few years back.

I pulled towards the town line and paused for a second. I hesitated for a second and then made up my mind. I quickly drove over the town line and headed down the road.

I had been driving for a few hours and I was getting tired. But I was almost there. I smiled as I pulled into a driveway. I was really hoping she hadn't changed her address in the few weeks I had been gone from this dimension. I got out of the car, grabbed Henry's backpack and slung it over my shoulder. I walked up to the door and took a breathe before knocking.

Why I was nervous I don't know. I heard someone inside shout that they'd get it and then I heard the click of the lock unlocking. The door unlocked and opened. There stood Maria Jackson and she hadn't changed one bit. She froze when she saw me. Her smile turning into a frown.

"Hi Maria," I said. She just stood there for a second and then blinked a few times.

"Luke?" She almost whispered.

"Hi, can I come in?" I asked. Before she answered her Dad appeared behind her.

"Maria who's at the door? If it's Miss Baker, then tell her we don't have any flour," he said before he saw me. He looked surprised to sees me, and then smiled.

"Hi Mr Jackson, can I come in?" I asked hoping that I'd get an answer out of him.

"Sure, Maria can you put on the kettle please?" Mr. Jackson said. Maria nodded slowly as she stared at me. She quickly moved and went to the kitchen. I followed Mr. Jackson to the living room and sat down on the sofa. Mr Jackson stood there staring at me.

"I have a lot of explaining to do don't I?" I asked. He nodded. Maria came back into the room. She walked up to me and punched me. I clutched my arm.

"Where have you been Luke Smith! We all thought you had died! And what happens! You decide to show up weeks later perfectly fine! You just look taller!" She yelled. I flinched at each word. Then she hugged me. Gosh she needs to sort out her priorities either she's mad at me or she's not! I don't understand girls.

"I'm sorry Maria, if I could have been back sooner I would have, trust me!" I said. She sat on the other couch facing me along with her Dad.

"I suggest you start explaining," Mr Jackson said. I sighed.
