Part 19 - She Confesses

*Chance's POV*

I drove out using my unmarked sedan. I told Mom and Dad I was going after Annie, but I wasn't. They'd be mad if they knew where I was really going. I told my brother where I was going, though, just in case something happened, knowing he wouldn't tell on me.

I drove in the familiar lit up and semi-crowded streets, seeing males and females dressed-up for the night clubs. I parked beside a lesser-known club. I looked in the mirror and put on my blonde wig and brown contact lens, wearing my Ray Bans.

I took money out of the glove compartment, seeing as I can't use my credit card or Mom and Dad will know. I also took out my fake I.D. I got out, feeling the cold night air and locked the car, pocketing my keys. I felt numb, and I didn't want the numbness to go away.

I walked over to the queue, and there was only a small line. Some obviously under-aged girls were trying to get in, but the guy with the clipboard wouldn't let them. I went to the front, and he eyed me up and down and opened the rope for me. I nodded my thanks and gave him a few bucks and went in.

For a usually unpacked club, there were a lot of people there but not too much. There were girls wearing really short, revealing dresses, and I remembered how Annie frowned when she first saw how many girls actually wore those. I was still numb to the pain, and I was grateful for that.

After evading some flirty girls and getting dirty looks from guys, I went to the bar and sat on the stool. The thumping of the music got everybody dancing, and the room was dimly lit, different colored lights blinking through the room.

The scent of sweat filled the air, and I scrunched my nose. I casually sat on the stool and ordered a drink, showing him my 'I.D', just as my numbness was fading. I bought different kinds of drinks, some tasting weird to my senses, but it still kept me numb. Annie would hit me upside the head right now, but she's not here. I didn't feel anything, and that was my goal.

I noticed a few girls eyeing and giggling across of me, but they were nothing compared to Annie. Again, I felt nothing. I gulped down the cold beer that I had, burning its way down my throat and into my stomach. Maybe it was my reason for drinking, but it made the beer actually taste normal. I put my Ray Bans on the top of my head and looked around.

After God knows how long, I felt light-headed and happy, but my head felt like it weighed a ton. It was like I didn't hurt just a few hours ago. I took out my phone and turned it on, blearily seeing messages from Jonathan and my parents. I clumsily slipped it back into my jeans and listened to the rhythm of the song, tapping my fingers with one hand and a drink in the other. The song sounded good and lively, and I bobbed my head up and down with effort. My stomach felt warm and weird, but it was nothing to me. My sight was becoming blurry, and the club seemed to spin slowly, everything looking like it was in slow motion.

I saw a familiar figure with brown hair coming towards me, and my head snapped up. She had beautiful brown eyes, and she was wearing jeans and a long t-shirt with blurry words. I blinked a couple times as the girl walked towards me, a smile on her lip-sticked lips. Annie. Annie. Annie. She came to a halt beside me and sat down, facing me. My eyes drooped, but I kept them open and smiled crookedly.

"Annie?" I whispered, staring into her eyes.

She tucked her hair behind her ear and nodded, looking up at me from her lashes.

"What are you doing here?" I said, my words slurring over the song in the background.

I let go of the drink and gripped the counter, stopping myself from going unconscious.

"I love you, too, Chancey," she said over the loud song, me barely hearing her.

My head spun, and I squeezed my eyes shut and opened them.

"Really?" I slurred loudly, blinking.

She nodded and giggled.

"You giggled," I whispered and smiled.

Her cheeks reddened, and I smiled tiredly.

"Come on, let's get you out of here," she said and stood up.

She stood in front of me and pulled me up, making me woozily stand. She giggled as she put her arm around my waist, steadying me. I looked down at her, and she seemed a lot smaller now more than ever. The room was slightly spinning, and the support from Annie kept me up. We battled through the packed dance floor and went, out, the breeze making my hair stand. I laughed and she led me to a hotel nearby. I didn't object, and I tried my best to walk properly.

"What are we doing here?" I said in a weird tone, after hearing her possibly checking in or something.

"You need to rest," she said with a weird tone in her voice, making me wonder if that was the alcohol.

When we got to the.. uhh. some floor, I kept hiccuping as we arrived in front of a glowing door. I grinned, and she opened it and brought me in. I took off my shoes and jumped on the bed, laughing and hiccuping. It was big and soft, like a marshmallow. She brought me a glass of water, and I gulped it down and bounced on the bed.

"Annie, will you marry me?" I said as I got down on one knee on the bed, stopping myself from slurring.

She grinned from in front of me and nodded. I found a paper in the drawer and a pen, and I had a hard time writing what I wanted to write. After several minutes, I finished writing it.

"I, HRH Prince Chanceon Nathaniel R. Simonth, promise to wed the girl with me. For rich and for poor. 'Til Death do us part," she read, obviously having a hard time and smiled.

I crookedly grinned and signed the bottom of the paper. I handed it back to her and watched her sign it, too. I wobbily stood up from the bed and went to her, looking down at her small body. I wrapped my arms around her and sniffed strawberry in her hair. She hugged me, not circling her arms around my back since she couldn't reach. My brain felt light, and I laughed happily. My eyes drooped, and she led me into the bed. I lied down and closed my eyes as I felt her hugging me. I threw my shirt off with effort and put her head on my chest, hugging her to me. I still felt nothing but happy, but it must've been the alcohol.

Eeep! She loves him, too! O.O Arrggh! Really? Vote and like for them! XD

Comment what you want to happen... Plus, you caught that, right? They're betrothed. O.O I don't know what is required for an official betrothal, but that's why I made up the country. XD They can be betrothed as long as it is written and both parties sign it, and they are 16 at the least.

What do you guys think??? O.O

Oh.. Inform me of typos and grammar mistakes. XD I'm officially sleepy........
