My Worst Nightmare

Chapter 7

PRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

“WAKEY WAKEY!” Man… why must she be so loud??? “Kate… go away… let me sleep… WAIT! What the hell are you doing here?” I shot her a dirty look. “You owe me an explanation.” She said. Great. I groaned out loud. “Well, you might want to take a seat first. I wanna go bathe for a while and then call Chase.”

After taking a quick shower thanks to Ms. Hurry-your-ass-up. I actually rushed out from the towel half naked after she screamed nonstop for at least 5 minutes. That gal really have some good vocals. Note the sarcasm.

“ALRIGHT! GIMME A SEC!” I shouted to her. I ran to my bed and suddenly fell flat on my face. “Ouch” my idiotic friend just laughed and laughed at me. “If you laugh anymore, I swear you are NOT going to listen to what you want to know.” I screamed. She just stopped laughing and stared at me with wide eyes. Too bad I can’t use this method next time.

“So? What are you waiting for? Hurry up. Start your story.” She practically screamed in front of my face with her spit flying all over the place. Sheesh. Suddenly I remembered what Chase told me. I quickly destroyed the bracelet and pendant and threw them out of the house.

“Well, when I was about 5, my parents used to take me to the park and play there. One day, I was sitting in the living hall waiting for them to bring me to the park. Then I heard muffled sounds and crying. Tiptoeing, I slowly crept to the direction of the sound. At the kitchen, I heard my parents hugging and crying. My father was comforting my mother. I was too young to understand at that time.” I sighed.

“Two weeks later, a knock came from the front door. A woman quickly picked me up and ran to a van parked in front of the house. I was injected with a black liquid and I just passed out. When I woke, I was in a bright lighted room. I was lying on a cold surface and I heard some voices. Something like she’s the last one. Must keep her.” I told her as I watched her reaction. She just nodded.

“The next thing I remember was I was in a room. A gloomy room with two beds. There was a girl my age sitting there with her eyes closed. She looked so beautiful. I walked up to her and said hi. She slowly opened her eyes and narrowed them. She said to me, you’re that girl right? The one everyone is searching for. The last one. I just stood at her shocked. I couldn’t understand anything.” Kate leaned back against my bed and closed her eyes and I told this.

“Many months passed when suddenly a person took me away and gave me to another person. Apparently, the place was attacked and they were trying to save us. I just took all this without complain. I was little see? I was sent back to my home after sometime. When I entered the house, it was dead silent. No one was there. Suddenly I heard a husky voice behind me saying they’re gone. You will only meet them when the time is right. I turned around only to catch him slowly vanishing. I dismissed it as my own imagination.” I said silently.

“A few days ago, I was wandering through the house and I found a chest. It was not locked so I took a peek at it. Soon, I was rummaging through the whole thing. I found photos of a lady with bright twinkly eyes. Only then I came to learn that she was my grandmother. I rummaged further and I found a diary. After days of reading, I finally understood what the diary’s about.” When I said this Kate was fidgeting. 

“My mother was heir to throne Sky Red Blood. She was supposed to rule Sky Red Blood and marry her cousin but she defied the king’s order. She fell in love with a commoner, my dad. You see, my dad was a sweeper for the palace was looked down by everyone. So one night, they decided to run away and live together. The king was furious. He sent out many people to catch them but they didn’t manage. My mother had a special ability. It comes with the royal blood. Her specialty was to appear invisible and whoever she holds will also turn invisible.” I said as my voice broke.

“For years they were on the run but they managed to settle down here. My parents started a new life. Like normal people. But one day they disappeared and what happened to me was what I told you. I have no idea what powers I possessed. When I returned back here and live alone, I started getting threatening letters and I could always see people peeping through the window.” As I told her this my body shuddered thinking of all those times

“So… how did Chase get involved?” Kate asked as I tried to catch my breath. “Chase is the current king’s son. He is not to marry me. He is engaged to Claire. Or should I put it Georgia Claire Dunce. She deceived us all. I thought she looked familiar but I wasn’t sure. I on the other hand am engaged to Gary. The bracelet and the pendant has a radio transmitter and mike. I had to destroy it. I found out that the figure that told me that I will meet my parents when the time is right was a hologram. It was set by my parents.”I close my eyes and relax while telling her.

“I know who you are. You are Kate Marie Gondi. You were supposed to marry my brother but your parents broke it off with their own lives. The people staying with you know are just spies for the king. I know you’re working as an insider for the other kingdom. The Black Forest.” Kate’s eyes widened considerably. “H-how did you know?” she whispered.

“I am getting information. I am supposed to be crown queen of my kingdom but my mother’s cousin’s evil family took control and tried to wipe out your kingdom. You’re a princess and you once belonged to my kingdom. But after we did, your family broke off. My kin came hunting me down. They still don’t know who I am. Cause they never once saw me. My name is not Jenna or Erene. My name is Holly Gerta Werwood. My parents told everyone that my name is Jenna Evers. I always thought that my parents left us till I read the diary. Now my kingdom is scattered and so is yours” I said offering a small smile.

“What about this. We team up and get as many people as we can and end this for once and for all!” I said to her. Excitement coursing throughout my body. Kate hesitated a moment before shouting “LET’S KICK ASS!!!” she shouted enthusiastically.

BAM!!!!! We huddled together shivering in fear. The sound was so deafening. BAMBAMBAM!!! I slowly let go of Kate and crept downstairs. I found out the noise was coming from the front door. As i walked closer to it, suddenly it swung open and i screamed my heart out. I suddenly got dizzy and the last thing i said is "You're alive...."
