"I'm watching you" is what the paper read. "I'm watching you." Three words that could mean anything.
"What the hell?" Trevor says.
"Trevor..." I say scared.
"I know," he says, trying to stay calm.
"Who's out there?" he yells.
"Hello?" I yell.
"Forget it. Whoever left this must be a real coward if they can't show their face," he says somewhat loud so if that anyone was out there, they'd hear him.
Suddenly, the bushes along my house started moving. It was my brother.
"What the hell Hayden?" I said screaming at him.
"Sorry! I saw an opportunity, and I took it!" he says.
"You are so my brother, but you are also so dead. Aren't you supposed to be with mom?" I ask.
"She forgot me. She's too focused on Ryan," he says, putting an emphasis on Ryan.
Ahhh Ryan, my step dad. I don't talk about him much. He's cool I guess, but when he favors his own kid over his stepkids, it draws my line. My mom has kind of put him before us too.
"Makes sense. So why haven't I seen you until now?" I ask.
"You got home, and ran up to your room and stayed in there basically the whole time until Trevor got here. Plus I was in my room the whole time. When I heard you guys watching a scary movie, I climbed out my window and decided to scare you guys. Did it work?" he asked with excitement.
"Uh, yeah," said Trevor in a 'duh' way.
"Sweet. Is there any pizza left?" Hayden asks.
"Yeah, like one piece," I tell him.
"Dibs," he yells and runs inside.
"Well this night just took an unexpected turn," I said disappointedly.
"What do you mean by that?" Trevor asks.
"Nevermind," I say sighing.
"Dylan, tell me."
"I thought it was just going to be you and me tonight, but Hayden."
"It's okay Dylan, we have other nights to be alone."
"I know. I love you, Trevor."
"I love you too my princess."
"Hurry up you guys! Otherwise, I'm going to play the movie without you!" Hayden yells.
"We're coming!" Trevor yells.
He gives me a kiss on the forehead and we walk into the living room. Once we finished the movie, Trevor and I went up to my room.
"Use protection!" we hear Hayden yell as were walking up the steps.
"Thanks for the reminder Hayden!" I yelled back.
"You're welcome!"
Once we got upstairs, I turned on music. We sat up talking about random crap. Like what happened at school today, what Trevor wanted to do in the future. He french braided my hair for me too. We laid down and cuddled for a long time. The music was soft so we could hear Hayden downstairs. We heard him turn off the TV and go to his room.
"I love you, Dylan," Trevor said in almost a whisper.
"I love you too Trevor," I tell him.
"No, I really love you. I want to grow old with you. Have kids with you. I want you to be by my side forever."
"Awh Trevor, I want all of that with you too."
