March 30th
Once I was fully awake, I noticed a note sitting on my nightstand:
'Get dressed, wear something nice, be prepared for anything. Go to your car, be fully prepared to drive. -T'
I was confused at first, then I realized the 'T' stood for Trevor, or at least I hoped it did. I got dressed in a light wash pair of ripped jeans, a black t-shirt with writing, a white and black flannel, and tennis shoes. For my makeup, I did a casual, yet stunning look. My hair is naturally wavy, and it looked somewhat cute today, so I left it wavy. I get into my car and start it. I buckled and notice a sheet of paper, folded, sitting on the passenger seat. I grabbed it and in it said:
'Go to the place where it was the first time I gave you a ride home. -T'
I put my car in gear and drove to the school. Taped to the doors of the school was another note:
'Go to the first place we ate out but declared it wasn't a date. -T'
I folded the note and stuffed it into my pocket. On my way to McDonald's, I was. I parked outside and went in. The line wasn't too bad. Once I got up to the counter, I ordered a Mocha Frappe. The cashier gave the drink to me. On the side of the drink, there was another note attached:
'Go to the place where we had our first real date. -T'
I sipped my drink on the way to the Mexican Resturant. This kid better be giving me money along the way for all this gas he's making me waste. Once I got there, the waiter handed me yet another note:
'I hope you know where this one takes place; our first kiss. -T'
I was confused. Our first kiss was in my driveway. Why would he make me drive everywhere, just to end me in my driveway? I shook my head after reading it. Just as I was leaving, the waiter stopped me.
"I forgot to give you this," the waiter said handing me $50. "He said I had to make sure you get this otherwise you'd be mad at him for wasting your gas. Even though he's not really wasting it because something good is going to come out of this. I should stop talking while I'm ahead."
"Thanks. He's right, I would have been mad," I said chuckling.
I drove back to my house to find Trevor standing in my driveway with flowers. There was something written on the ground. I couldn't see it from my car.
"Trevor, what the hell are you doing?" I asked him.
"Come here," he said with a smile on his face.
I walked over to him. I could finally see what was on the ground. It was a timeline leading from the beginning of my driveway to the house. I had all the firsts. At the house, it said 'PROM?' in big capital letters. The 'R' was flipped around like a little kid wrote it. After I saw it, I turned around to look at Trevor.
"Dylan, will you do me the honor of being my date to my senior prom?" he asked on one knee like he was proposing.
"Yes Trevor," I said wanting to burst into tears.
He picked me up and spun me around like I was a little kid.
"Hayden, you can bring it out now," Trevor says putting me down.
Hayden comes out with a giant teddy bear. I get all excited.
"Is this for me?" I ask.
"You betcha," Hayden says throwing it at me.
"And what am I supposed to do with this?" I ask.
"Cuddle with it whenever I'm not here to," Trevor says.
"Will do," I say looking at Trevor and smiling.
Trevor leaned in and kissed me. It was a gentle loving kiss. Next thing I know, I hear a groan come from Hayden.
"Really?" Hayden says.
Trevor and I start laughing at him. We all decided to go to Applebee's to eat. After that, we went back to my house. My mom wasn't home. Trevor and I sat in the living room while Hayden went to his room to play video games. I turned on Pretty Little Liars because I was behind and Trevor said he didn't care what we watched. We cuddled for what seemed like forever, but it was only about an hour. This is perfect. He's perfect. It's almost too perfect.
