Dedication to JessGirl93 for being such an inspiration. The Bad Boy's Girl is for sure the best Wattpad book I've ever read.
[Chapter 12]
The rest of the week passes quickly, being the same school boring days as it has always been. However, after the Spanish class incident of the injustice of being paired with Landon and Mia I feel like I've run out of energy. And I still have to meet them on Saturday to do the project. God, I just want to go back to my bed and sleep until my last High School year is finished.
The bell rings as Jax and I quickly get up from the chair and start packing up the physics books into our bags.
"Remember to do exercise seventeen and bring it on Monday kids." Mr. Freeman reminds us.
"Shit. I thought he forgot." Jax mutters quietly so only I can hear him.
I chuckle slightly. "Well, since you're new you don't know it yet but Mr. Freeman never forgets anything. And I mean anything." I think about the time when I was a freshman and in one of his classes Dave said something stupid about how he tried to represent Newton's discovery. Since that unlucky day, the poor guy has been remember as the crazy boy who throws himself apples into his head.
"Good to know, I guess." Jax sighs. Casually he puts his right arm around my shoulders as we walk out of our last period. I don't know what to think; is this just a simple gesture or am I being too naive and there actually is something after it?
"What are you doing tonight?" He asks.
"Staying home, why?"
"Aren't you going to Janice party?"
Oh no. Definitely not. Parties and I don't come together and we all know what happened at the last one.
"Nope, parties aren't my thing." We reach the lockers and I quickly open mine and take out the books that I'll need for the weekend.
"Well, that's a shame."
Am I the only one getting nervous now? I close the locker's door and turn to him. I slowly raise my eyes to look at his serious face but something catches my attention in half way.
Aiden and the Blondie are coming this way. The girl is walking by his side as if it was the most normal thing in the world whereas Aiden is scowling and sending glares to my direction.
I frown in return, what is wrong with him? "Abby? Is everything okay?" Jax concernedly interrupts my thoughts. I look back at him, just as I hear Aiden grunt now that he's near enough.
I smile in a reassuring way. "Yes, sorry. Gotta go, I'll see you on Monday then."Before he can open his mouth and say anything, I turn on my heels and run out of the school building. As soon as I reach the parking lot, I look for Ree who's supposed to give me a ride but I don't find her anywhere.
Gee, c'mon or he'll come after me. I thought.
I take out my phone and notice that a new message has appeared in my box.
"Sorry, something came up and had to go first. -R"
Groaning, I put the phone back to my pocket and start walking down the street to the bus station. However not even have walked 2 meters, a car abruptly stops next to me.
"Get in."
I ignore it.
"Abby, get in the car."
I continue walking, not looking back.
"Fine, you wanted this." I hear a loud thud and the next thing I know is that two strong arms are around me and lifting me from the floor.
"Wha-, let me go!" I hit his back repeatedly but nothing. It doesn't have the slightest effect. Aiden walks back to his car and puts me in. Before I can open the door and get out, he locks the car until he gets in the driver's seat.
"What do you think you're doing?" I demand angrily.
He doesn't have the nerve to answer me and just starts the car. Which makes me even angrier.
"Hey, I'm talking to you, you know?"
Surprisingly, that makes him to look at me finally and snorts. "So now that you're talking to me I have to stop and listen but when I want to talk, you avoid me like the plague?"
"I didn't avoid you."
"Yeah, right."
Ok, maybe I did a little. For the last few days I have barely spoke two words to him, trying to talkthe minimum possible, not going to school together and avoiding to come across his path at school has been, to tell the truth, really difficult. The guy is everywhere.
"So why are you doing this? if you don't want to tell me anything let me go." I stubbornly say.
He sighs. "We're going somewhere quiet to talk."
"Where?"
"Just wait and see."
