Dedicated to kpgcatlover because seriously, her work is unbelievably amazing. I've read Not Exactly Romeo and Juliet in a day and Awkwardly Adorable in another. That's how awesome her books are.

[Chapter 14]

     Beep... beep... beep...

I groan annoyed. Do you know the feeling when you just want to shout at the world to shut up and leave the hell of you alone? That's exactly what I want to do right now, only that my alarm clock has no fault and even if I told it to shut it, it wouldn't. Rolling on my bed, I reach my hand to stop the damn thing from ringing, but lucky me, it wouldn't stop at all because instead, it sounds louder. With half closed sleepy eyes, I grab it with both of my hands and I take out the batteries. Five minutes more.

However, luck is not on my side today because just as I'm about to fall asleep again, my dad stomps in my bedroom and being the noisy father he is, he chirps. "Cupcake, time to get up!"

"Get out of here." I manage to mutter between my pillows.

He laughs at my straightforwardness, "C'mon, breakfast is ready."

     "I'm not hungry, just leave."

     "Oh really?"

     I nod.

"Well, that's too bad then. Guess we'll have to throw away all those blueberry pancakes Peyton cooked this morning."

Blueberry pancakes? My mind digests the information and surprisingly, I'm not longer sleepy.

"Coming down in fifteen." I say.

My dad chuckles lightly at my reaction and he leaves, shaking his head in amusement.

"So, where is Aiden this time?" I ask between mouthfuls of Peyton's heavenly food. God, his mother sure knows how to cook. I squint my eyes towards my dad. Not like mine...

"He said he had something to do but didn't say what." Peyton looks concerned for a second before carrying on. "This boy used to tell me everything, you know. But now? I don't even know who is he hanging out with." She sighs.

"He's in the age Pey, it's only normal he doesn't want to tell his parents what he does or not, it would be unusual if he did, don't you think?

"Yeah... You're probably right. I only hope he's not doing anything stupid or illegal. I've read somewhere that said the new trend amongst teenage boys were to act all bad boy to impress the girls."

My dad rolls his eyes. "That's not Aiden's case. Your son is an intelligent boy and it's not like he needs to do that. I'm sure he's already popular around girls. Affirmative, I thought.

Soon, they let the topic pass but I frown. What does he have to do that is so important? Every morning he leaves earlier, in the afternoon he never comes back with me anymore and most of the time he arrives late in the night putting some lame excuse like long practices or whatever.

I decide it's best to let it pass as well, so I finish my plate of delicious pancakes and wait for my dad to give me a ride to school.

"So? How did yesterday go?" Ree asks once we reach my locker. Hannah follows behind, next to her boyfriend and as always, they're being all lovey-dovey.

I put the lock combination and shrug. "Not all bad, though I may had been quite bitchy." I say, grabbing the books I will need for the day.

     "Well, well done." She smirks.

I chuckle at this. For all who don't know, this is Ree. She can be lovely a minute and a total bitch the next. People may think she is being evil, but not if you get to know her.
