But don't hog the light.
Carry yourself well,
But don't walk like a slut.
Don't leave all of your doors open,
But don't keep them shut.
Make yourself beautiful,
But don't become fake.
Listen to criticism,
But don't let your confidence shake.
Crying is okay,
But only if you're alone.
Connect more with people,
But not over the phone.
Always smile,
But don't pretend to be fine.
Be adventurous,
But never cross a line.
Call for help when you need it,
But don't shout too loud.
Have self confidence,
But don't be too proud.
Dress like everyone else does,
But have your own style.
Dye your hair any color,
But only for a while.
Get angry at what makes you mad,
But don't you dare shout.
Stay inside when you feel sad,
But you should try to get out.
Talk about your feelings,
Just don't be an attention whore.
Be sad if you have to be,
But don't be a bore.
Forgive people for what they've done,
But don't let your guard down.
Be the ruler of your kingdom,
But don't wear a crown.
Ask others if you look okay,
But don't ask too often.
Look in the mirror at yourself,
But don't let your insecurities sink in.
Forget about the past,
But always remember it.
