I awake in a room that is stark white everywhere, even the bed sheets and blanket they've given me. The rooms smells strongly of cleaning supplies, it's burning my eyes and nose. There is one window and a door. I move to get up, but can't when I realize my arms and legs are strapped down onto the bed. I think of where I could be.
What happened last night? What did I do? I can't remember anything. I hear a voice behind me clear their throat. My entire body stiffens. I try to pull on the straps, it doesn't even budge, if anything they're getting tighter.
The voice I just heard let's out a booming laugh. I stiffen at the sound, trying to recognize the voice. Why can't I recognize it? I have a photogenic memory.
"Carly," The voice snarls. "Are you hungry?" I nod and hear a squeak. I see a figure quickly walk past me to the door on my left.
That voice. It's him; I'm sure of it. How did he find me, more importantly, why did he want to find me? My thoughts wander back to lastnight. I vaguely remember being pulled away from my room and getting dizzy. I don't remember anything after that.
I look towards the window on my right and see a bird fly past my window. I have a horrible migraine, as well as, my whole body feels weak and limp. I feel as if I have been beaten by someone.
My body aches as I feel a slight tug to my right, I turn to see who it is, but I only catch a glimpse before the man turns and pulls out a phone. He sends a quick text to a number that looks familiar. I look closer, it's my iPhone. How did they know my password to unlock my phone?
Oh right, they're probably geniuses and know how to hack into nearly everything. The man steps towards the door and hesitates, then sighs before he leaves the room. Who are these people what do they want from me. I turn to the window on my left and examine my surroundings. There isn't much to see, except for the trees surrounding everything.
I let out an annoyed sigh and hear the door crack, a man speaks. "Any problems miss?"
I snap my head towards him and squint my eyes. He smirks at my reaction. "Hm, no, I don't think so-" He hesitates to speak, then I interupt him, "-wait yes, there is something wrong. Something very wrong. I don't know where the fuck I am. Now if you could be so kind to help me up to take a piss, things may or may not be better for me."
A grin spreads across the man's face. "Oh, poor Carly-" he starts.
"You are certainly not what I expected, you are definitely not as ladylike as I've heard." A younger more attractive man interrupts. "But you are as beautiful as they've told me. Now sir, you may leave and stop harassing her."
I feel my cheeks heat up and look away. I can feel my hair stand up and goosebumps form, as he keeps staring at me. "Why am I here? Why isn't anyone tell me what's going on? Who are you people?" I beckon.
"First, you're here for your own protection. Second, we don't want to risk your safety. And lastly I am Miles, your guard. I have been hired for your own personal protection."
"Why the fuck do I need protection. What in the hell is going on?" I demand.
"Calm down and I'll tell you," Miles pleads.
