He slows so we can walk side by side. He opens and closes his mouth like he wants to say something, but doesnt- multiple times. He clears his throat and looks at me, a slight blush floods throughout his cheeks.
"Uh, this is awkward.. Sorry. But I never got your name?" His eyes dart towards people walking around us- as we've basically stopped walking, and he looks away.
"Oh well maybe I'll make you guess." I say with a smirk. He smiles and rubs the back of his neck. All I can do blush as I stare at his dimples. I mean, who doesn't love dimples? Come on!
He sighs than nods, "Alright. I get 10 hints and same for you guessing my name. Deal?" I nod and he smiles. "How's steak n shake sound?"
I smile, "Amazing."
He walks in and walks to a corner booth, he let's me sit first, then he sits across from me. "So, about your name. Is it common?"
I shake my head and bite my lip. He looks at my lip and blushes profusely then quickly looks away. "My nickname is common. Not my real name. Nine hints left. Choose wisely." I smirk.
His mouth hangs open,  "Awe, come on. How am I supposed to guess it if it isn't common this is ridiculous. You try to guess mine and I'll keep figuring yours."
I giggle.  "Let me take a wild guess here," I pause and clasp my hands together in front of me, leaning forward and squinting my eyes. Finally, I lean back nonchalantly, biting back a a laugh. "Your name is Max?"
He gasps and his brows furrow in confusion. "How- what- this is impossible," He groans. "How did you know?"
I point to his blue polo shirt where his name is stitched into the fabric in white. "You were an easy target. I win. Sorry!"
"You cheated, you knew!"
"Fine. It wasnt fair. Sorry.... not sorry?" I break into a fit of giggles, the waiter walks over to us and asks what we'll have to drink, we both order Coke. Hm. Maybe he won't be so bad.
He eyes me suspiciously. "Will you please just tell me your name. Even your nickname? I give up. I wave the flag. I-"
"Carly. It's Carly. Well my nickname is, so call me Carly."
He smiles. "Beautiful name for a beautiful lady?" I feel heat rush to my face and he smirks as I look away, biting my lip.
The waiter comes back at the right time and gives us our sodas. I take a long sip.
"Hello, I'm Coda, I'll be your waitress tonight. What will you have to eat?" She smiles at us, pen and paper ready.
"I'll take the double bacon steakburger- no tomato, with a side of fries, please." I say quickly. "And a medium chocolate shake?"
Max smiles. "Make that two of everything she just said. Thank you."
She blushes as he look at her through his lashes. And quickly walks away.
"Dude she likes you," I say. He blushes.
"No. Definitely not."
"Why not?"
"She's out of my league."
"You mean you're out of hers?"
"Haha funny, no. She's too pretty. She can't be single."
"Really? Five bucks says she's single and she'll give you her number nonchalantly on a napkin or something."
"Deal." He smiles a day shakes my hand.
