"192, 193, 19-"

"Zero what are you doing?" Ichiru asked as he seen me doing sit ups. I proceeded until I reached two-hundred.

"Sit ups. All that time being sick, I started looking soft and frail so I need to get my tone back." I said as I put my shirt back on.

"Right. Well Yukki asked me to drop this off before I left out. I'm going back to see mom and dad. Do you want me to tell them abo-"

"No, it's not important. I might tell them the next time I see them, but right now it's not that big of a deal. Tell them I said hi though." He sighed.

"It's not a big deal my ass." He said. "Zero, this is a very big deal. You could die from this." I rolled my eyes.

"I could die from a paper cut, Ichiru. When Kaname comes back, I'll ask him what he thinks we should do about it. Let it take its course, or have the surgery." I informed.

"If he comes back." He mumbled under his breath. I glared at him. "What? Don't look at me like that, it's been three fucking months, and you haven't gotten any better. This has only progressed into a bigger mess and you won't make up your mind because you want his opinion. You haven't even told him! It'll be too late by the time he comes back, just call the asshole and ask him." He said, picking up the phone and holding it out for me. "What?"

"I don't want to." I said quietly. He sighed and put the phone back down. "He might not come back, if I tell him he'll leave me." I said, and he shook his head.

"If he does that, I'll personally kick his ass. Now I'm gonna go. I'll be back soon, and go see Yukki. She's worried about you." He said and I nodded. He kissed me on the head and smirked when I glared at him. "I love you, asshole." He said in a girly voice. I laughed at him and he smiled at me. He waved goodbye and he left. He was gone too. So instead of being alone, I decided to go see the one person I knew wouldn't leave.

"So you're telling me, that you don't want to tell Kaname because you're afraid he's going to leave?" She asked and I nodded. "Why would this make him leave? I'm just curious." She asked as she handed me a cup of tea.

"Well, I just think he's not ready for something this serious, y'know? Like what if he's not ready for that kind of commitment to this relationship? This is a very big deal, and we haven't talked about what we would do if something happened." I informed. She just looked at me for a few minutes.

"It there's one thing I know about Kaname," she took a drink of her tea. "It's that when he says he cares about something, or someone, he doesn't let it go because something is wrong." She paused and smiled a bit. "And if he ever tells someone he loves them, to him it's like he's already said his vows to them. So think of it this way, whether it's legal or not you two are together through sickness and in health." She said while leaning on the counter.

"I'm just scared." I admitted.

"Never thought I'd hear you say that." She joked. "But you should be, you'd be crazy to go through something like this and not be at least a bit scared." Yukki said.

"I'm not scared about what's happening to me, I'm scared I won't have him with me while it happens. I mean, even Ichiru is worried that it'll be too late by the time he gets back." I said with my head in my hands. She put her hand on my shoulder.

"I never thought I'd see you scared about losing someone, especially when that person is Kaname." She said and when I looked up at her, she was smiling kindly. "Have faith in him, he might surprise you." She said as she drank some more of her tea. She went to walk into the living room but stopped when I said something.

"He doesn't deserve this." She turned to face me, brows knitted together in confusion. "He's already got so much going on, he's so stressed out right now that he's probably already going grey." I laughed. "Maybe it's just too much for him right now." I said quietly.

"Well if it means that much to you, I'll help you get to your parents and they can help take care of you while Kaname is busy. Okay?" I thought hard about it, it would be easier that way, wouldn't it? Kaname wouldn't have to worry about me. So I nodded. She ruffled my hair. "You really do look awful. Now go home and pack up some stuff, I'll call you when I find a plane or train leaving soon." I nodded and left.

It wasn't freezing, but it was still cool outside. I stuffed my hands in my pockets to keep them warm. It wasn't a very long walk, but with me not being able to do a whole lot it seemed to take forever. I unlocked the door, seeing that I accidentally left a light on. I walked in and was about to turn the light in the living room off when I seen someone.

"K-Kaname. You're back." I said, acting like I didn't see what he was looking at. I had left all the letters from the doctors office on the table. They didn't disclose anything, but they did say how much each visit cost.

"What are these?" He asked and I panicked.

"I'll find a way to pay for it I promise. You don't have to worry about it. I'll take care of it-"

"You know I don't give a damn about the money." He said, getting up and walking over to me. I flinched when he spoke. "What's going on? I know you don't go for the hell of it. I mean, you went once a week for a month, you have an appointment in a month, a prescription for something I've never even heard of. Zero I don't care about how much this costs, you know that, but I want to know what's wrong? Are you okay?" He asked, looking at me with worried eyes.

"I mean, there's not really anything wrong with me." I said, avoiding his eyes.

"Then what is it? You can tell me, whatever it is I want to help." He begged, and I let out a shaky sigh. "Zero..."

"I don't want you to leave me." I said quietly. His eyes widened. "Kaname I-I-"
