After dinner, we started heading back to Rochester. Which meant we didn't get home till about ten that night. I woke up to Peter carrying me upstairs to the apartment. He then laid me down on my bed when he got to the apartment. He took my shoes off for me and tucked me. I grabbed his wrist and pulled him back as he was about to leave my room.

"What's wrong?" he asks.

"Can you stay in here again tonight?" I ask.

"Sure, just let me get changed." he then walks out. He walks back in with just a pair of sweats on. I make sure I have my alarm on for us to get ready in the morning before falling asleep immediately.

By morning, I felt motivated to do things. I got up, got dressed for work, did my hair and make up, then walked into the kitchen and made two cups of coffee. Peter then walks out of my room and into his. He comes back out dressed for school.

"Well, you're definitely dressed like a freshmen." I say.

"What's that supposed to mean?" he laughs.

"I mean most likely by senior year, you're going to be showing up in sweat pants and no longer giving a shit about anything."

"Eh, I might as well make a first impression though."

I hand him his coffee before grabbing my keys, hugging him good bye and walking out the door. I then drive off to work. Once I get there, I do my usual, put my stuff in my locker before grabbing my apron and rag and putting down chair and washing down tables. Ben and Tiffany show up a few minutes after I finished all the tables and both give me a hug.

"So, how was your weekend?" Tiffany asks.

"It was great honestly. Peter and I headed out to Highland over in Pennsylvania and camped out there. Then yesterday morning we drove to New York City and he took me to dinner at Tavern on the Green." I explain. Both of them look at me with wide eyes and their mouths open.

"Wait, how did he afford Tavern on the Green? That place costs more than Kim Kardashian's ass." Tiffany says.

"I have no clue. I begged him not to take me there but he insisted."

"Jeez, someone's trying to impress a bit much." Ben says.

"It's nothing. We're best friends. I was hurt this weekend and he thought this was how he could make things up to me." I explain.

"Whatever." Ben says rolling his eyes before walking over to some customers.

At the end of my shift, Ben stayed a while to talk to me. I know him well enough to know what he might say and I don't how to respond.

"So, uh, since things didn't work out for you and that guy, do you like, want to, maybe go to dinner sometime? This time not as friends." he asks as we walk out of the building.

"Are you asking me on a date?" I ask.

"Yes. No? I mean do you want it to be?"

"Okay, listen. I'm trying to get over a two year relationship and I promise that sometime after I'm done working here, we can go on a date."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow." I say before getting in my car and leaving.

I then arrive at the apartment and the whole place is decorated so nicely. I was in complete shock honestly. Little lantern lights strung around the place. Blankets nicely folded. Garbage thrown away and the whole place was just spotless. I walk over to Peter's room and knock on the door. He then opens the door and looks panicked.
