Since the next day was Monday and I had class, I woke Abigail up early. I basically just put on sweats, a t-shirt, a sweater, fuzzy socks, and Uggs. I left my hair in the messy bun it already was in. Abigail, well, I think she was dressing to impress. Her hair was braided. She did her make up. She wore a black shirt with a green jacket and scarf along with a pair of black leggings and brown boots.
"Abby, you do know there's literally no one to impress. Plus to be there you kind of have to blend in with everyone you know. Go put your pajamas back on and take off your make up." I say before she walks back into her temporary room. She comes back out dressed how I told her to.
We leave the apartment and since we were running a bit early, I decided to stop by one of the local coffee stands and pick up coffee for the two of us before heading to the school. We immeidately walk into my first class. We sit in the far back of the class where typically my professor doesn't look. We got lucky today and he didn't notice. The girl from my first day here, Raquel walks over to me.
"Damn, another frosh. Hello, I'm Ra-"
"Touch her and you'll be lucky to even be waking up in the hospital." I say.
"Shit, you know, Anderson, you should come to one of parties. Tonight be there or else froshie here will get an initiation much worse than what you got." Raquel says walking away.
"Are upper classmen always like that?" Abigail asks me.
"They can be worse trust me. All they care about is getting their degrees, sex, drugs, and alcohol. If any of them tell you otherwise, they're lying." I explain.
"So, are we going to that party?"
"Do you have your permit?"
"Yeah."
"Whatever you do, don't eat or drink anything at the party then."
At the end of my class, Abigail was asleep. We then walked to my next class.
"Am I going to fall asleep in this class?" Abigail asks.
"No, it's more hands on. I just have to let the professor know who you are and what you're doing here." I say.
I let the professor know about Abigail before sitting at my seat. We're not far into the year so we're doing basic stuff. Heating and cooling elements. After class, I take Abigail out to lunch at my former job.
"Delilah! Just you two?" Faith, one of the kiosk greeters, says.
"Yeah, and can we get the back station with Ben and Tiffany please?" I ask.
"Of course." Faith says before escorting Abigail and I to a table. Tiffany then walks over and doesn't even look at us.
"What can I get you two to drink besides water?" she says.
"I think I'll have a raspberry limeade." I say before she looks up from her note pad.
"Delilah, why didn't you say anything about being here?" she says before giving me a hug.
"I thought I'd surprise you." I say. "Get my sister's drink too."
"Sorry, sweetie." Tiffany says.
"Lemonade, please."
"Of course. Gosh, I'll get your meals too, then."
"Alfredo ravioli and lasagna." I say.
"Okay, once I get you your food, Ben and I are going on lunch break so, we'll come and sit with you." Tiffany says before walking away.
I look over at Abigail, who is laughing so hard, I think she can no longer control herself.
"What?" I laugh.
