My hands trembled as I stared at his number which I had just fed in my cell phone directory..

Should I dial? Or not?

What will he think of me? Why am I even trying to get him when he was not at all interested? What the hell is happening?

He saved me from being rapped that's why I am calling to thank him yes! That's it...

If I will call him will he recognize me?

Of course Nandini he will..

And..and what if he didn't?

All the ifs and buts made me shiver but the urge of listening his voice and to meet him was so strong that I pressed the call button...

Ring...ring...ring...

I anticipated and...

"Hello? Manik Malhotra here!" His voice appeared from the other side and once again my breathing stop.

All the 'thank you' greetings which I had practiced for hours stuck on the tip of my tongue and I melted in the sophistication of his voice. His tone was calm, peaceful yet unknowingly husky.

Few seconds passed with me sitting still dazed when again...

"Hello? Who's there?" His voice again echoed through the speaker and I gulped..

Come on speak up....

"Hi! Am Nan-nandini!" That's all I managed to utter and I felt my throat turning dry...

What will be his answer? Am sure he will remember me...

"Nandini?" His voice came holding a question. "Nandini who?" He asked suddenly all my hopes flushed in toilet and I realized my importance in his life...

Awww! My poor Nandini!! Feeling sad for her! But kehty hain na 'love knew no boundries' but what's up with Manik? Itna buddho hai ya ban raha hai? Hmmmm!
