Chapter 6.2- Once Upon a Time Continued...

Manik's POV..

The first thing I learnt from my life ever was! Never ever trust anyone! Not even yourself..

A kid shivering under the broken shade due to rain and cold got a home in an orphanage..

You know who the kid was? It was me..

The orphanage lady was a generous woman as she saved me from street dogs..

My days and nights spent like a dead soul..

The tears in my eyes were dried since long.

I was a boy who can't even imagine his life without parents and now it's been three months since the night I lost everything..

"Hey! Get off! It's my turn now!" I heard Rohan the big guy shouting on my back. I was sitting on the swing but I didn't move who was he to order me. Miss Jasmine used to treat all of us equally so he was no way superior to me..

"No it's not your turn! Main abhi betha hoon! Wait for few more minutes!" I said in a calm tone and the next moment I found myself on the muddy ground with my lower lip bleeding due to Rohan's punch..

I laid there shock and numb when Rohan bent over me holding my chin..

"Listen you! No body dares to challenge me! A weakling like you deserves this! Think before you mess up with me next time!" He growled on my face..

He was right! I was a weakling because I failed to save my family!

"Rohan Oh My God what have you done!!" It was Madam Jasmine she came running and Rohan run away..

"Manik my child are you ok?" She freaked out kneeling beside me and tried helping me but I jerked her away..

"I don't need sympathy! Stay away!" I spoke coldly and got up..
