“Father we have a new arrival!” Someone yelled out. He swiftly turned around and started walking out the door closing it as he left.

“Well I guess I’ll be explaining everything to you then.” Caleb spoke softly. “Here’s the thing; you were sentenced here to serve your time or something you did wrong. So you serve your time every day after breakfast and your back here right before dinner. No warning; if you don’t serve your time you are punished it’s as simple as that.”

That’s all Caleb said before walking out of the room. But he stopped just as he was about to close the door. I think he thought I couldn’t hear him since I had my back turned but he said it.

“I’ll find you a way out of here.” And then he left.

Standing up from the chair I had placed myself on I looked around my room. It wasn’t really anything special. There was a cot in the corner of the room, and then I opened the only other door I had and it was the tiniest bathroom I’d ever seen.

“Why’d all this have to happen to me?” I dropped down on the cot and slowly drifted into sleep but it was a bit harder than I expected since it was actually cold. I thought in Hell it was supposed to be really, really hot.

The next morning I was awakened by a loud buzzing noise coming from outside my room. I guess that means it’s time to wake up. So I got out of bed feeling really tired and looked at a tiny clock in my room that read 5:15. My eyes bulged out of my head. I’ve never woken up this early. Sighing I just decided not to be late so I started getting ready I stepped in the shower quickly not getting my hair wet because if I washed it too much it’d get really greasy.

Cursing at myself as I put on a set of clothes they sent me. It was pink -_- I really hate this place now.

“Jade! Are you almost ready it’s time for breakfast!” A familiar voice yelled out to me; it was Caleb. I rushed to the door opening it and then closing it to see a very surprised Caleb.

“Breakfast is at 6:00 sharp you’ve got 3 minutes to run to the cafeteria.” I gave him a confused look and he just pointed to the other end of the hall that I’d never been to. I started to run since I didn’t want to face a punishment and reached the cafeteria just in time.

As I got in line and grabbed a tray people started to push. “Hey watch it!” I shouted as I got shoved.

“You watch it little lady.” I saw a big guy turn and glare at me.

“Don’t mess with me!” I growled back also with envy that I was stuck wearing pink while he got to wear dark blue. I guess I must have been pretty scary looking since he backed away and took his place in front of some other loser who couldn’t defend himself.

I got my breakfast; which was only one scrambled egg that was cold and half a slice of toast with a tiny cup of orange juice. I sat at the edge of one of the very long rectangular tables. Then once I finished I was out of the cafeteria heading back to my room. I really wanted to sleep another 2 hours, that shower didn’t help much with waking me up.
