Mark cupped my face raising it to his, a smile had formed across his lips showing his white teeth. His answer was breathy as he voiced, "I love you too Kitten, I always have." I don't know why but at that moment I felt like collapsing, falling from the Earth and never returning.

Mark loved me too? I never wanted to move as I stood in his embrace but, I knew I had to get prepared for the dinner thereafter. I pulled out of the hug, and stared dreamily into his big blue eyes. "Mark," I whispered. "Yeah?" He slipped out of his trance and looked at me with a worried look clouding his face.

"We should go eat.. It's getting late..." Checking the time, he nodded and I turned out of his arms only now realizing Lauren's eyes were fixed on me, a nasty frown put her attitude together.

Mark called everyone to grab their stuff and head out, Gabriel drove us. I hopped in the car, Mark to my right and that Bryce kid to my left. I looked to my right, inspecting Bryce. His brown hair almost floated. He was an angel. His face looked porcelain like and his eyes were gorgeous.

"Karisma?" He questioned, a smile tugging on the corner of his lips, only then did I notice I had been staring at him, my mouth slightly parted. I shook my head profusely and yelped, "OH MY GOD, I'M SO SORRY! I MUST'VE SPACED OUT! OH GOD."

He giggled, tossing his hair back and winking, "Hey, it's alright sweet heart, I get it." I looked over to see Mark glaring warily at Bryce and I. I laughed nervously and stared off the entire way to the restaurant.

As soon as we arrived, Mark grabbed my hand, pulling me aside. He whispered low, "Don't trust Bryce okay? He will take advantage of you and I can't let that happen, okay?" I was amused by the worry crowding Mark and winked, "What, are you jealous? I'll be fine." Mark's eyebrows knitted together as he tried to hide his fallen heart.

I sighed, I didn't like sad Mark much. It was upsetting. I let out a breathy chuckle and pecked him on the lips. He looked frustrated and vulnerable but his eyes had softened a little in response to the light kiss. I flipped around and joined the rest of the group chatting along.

Bryce has been my best friend for years. Him and I knew the best of each other.... However, we also knew the worst. Bryce only cared about hooking up with girls. Sure, his aura didn't show it but, it was true.

When I saw how hard he had fallen for Karisma, my heart dropped, I didn't want to lose her. Of course she found him attractive, everyone did. I looked at the ground. I could feel tears piling up in my eyes. Glancing up, I saw her. Bryce and Hunter casually flirting. That made me mad, I didn't want this. I wanted her to myself and this was unfair.

In the restaurant I made certain I was able to sit next to Karisma.

"Mark, what's wrong?" She asked sweetly. Everyone else's voices were drowned out except hers. Her voice was mellifluous and beautiful.

"Nothing, I'm fine." I lied.

As dinner finished my anger only grew. I had to find a way to get back at Bryce... No, at her. I had to get a girlfriend and I knew exactly who.
