CRAIG'S POV
*time skip to the night of the dance*
"You know we still love you...right?" My Dad says with my Mom still in tears.
"Yeah, yeah," I say, annoyed.
"Okay, we just want you to know that being gay isn't normal," He continues.
I clench my fist wanting to punch something -- anything! But Tweek wouldn't approve of that so I let it go.
"Okay, I get it! Can you please leave now? I wanna go to bed," I lie.
"Sure, hun," My Mom says and they both leave.
As they leave I quickly check the time 8:00.
The dance started at 7 but people stay until like 12AM for God's sake.
I run to my closet and get my white tux that my Dad gave to me last year.
Hopefully I won't spill punch on me or anything.
I quickly put it on and then look in the mirror and comb my hair so I actually look like I care about how I look.
I look down at my blue hat and pick it up, "Sorry, I'm not wearing you tonight. It won't go with the white."
I stare at it and it looks hurt.
"Don't worry though, I'll wear you all tomorrow," I say making myself feel a little better.
I grab my ticket that I purchased at lunch and look out the window.
Luckily, my window is facing the backyard so it'll be easier.
I almost step out when I see Ruby there wide-eyed, dropping her doll.
"OH MY GOD--"
"Ruby!" I say rushing to her and covering her mouth.
"You're sneaking out?" She asks.
I can't lie to her.
"Yeah, I am."
"To see your boyfriend?"
"Yeah, I am."
"Wow," She says, "You actually admitted it this time."
"Ruby please don't tell Mom or Dad," I plead.
"I'm not," She says, "You can go be with your hot boyfriend."
I was relieved but then felt a little suspicious, "You don't...want anything in return?"
"No," She says, "I still want that kiss though, from your boyfriend."
"Yeah, sure," I say rolling my eyes.
She walks out but then quickly turns around, "No, actually you're doing my chores for two weeks."
I sigh, "Alright, fine."
"Nice," She says and closes the door.
I am finally relieved, mad that I have to do Ruby's fucking chores for two weeks but relieved she isn't telling.
I walk back over to the window, "Alright, let's do this."
