Shadow

Chapter 13

I woke up the next morning in my pajamas, and Shadow by my side. One arm draped on top of me and the other under my back. He looked so adorable like always. I wanted to get up but he was held onto me like a cage. I wiggled a little bit but he tightened his grasp and scooted closer to me. Then he jolts awake as his eyes open..

"Good morning to you" I tell him stifling a laugh.

"Good morning" he smiles and pulls me in closer. Then he beams at me. "Can I see your hand" he asks me.

I'm confused at first but when I look at my hands I realize what he wants to see. I give him my hand and he looks at the ring. His smile is from ear to hear and he kisses my hand.

"I'll want to look at that every chance I get" He tells me.

"Fine by me" i tell him before trying to get up. However Sean has another plan and pulls me back down on the bed. "Sean, I have to use the restroom" I tell him and he lets go.

Once I'm done with the restroom I come into the bedroom and Sean opens his arms for me to come. I just turn and go into Ashley's part of the room. I hear Sean huff but I just laugh and continue walking towards Ashley's crib.

I look down and see her sleeping peacefully and I flip her over gently so she's on her stomach so she doesn't have to get a head brace. Then I stand there watching her, letting it mesmerize me. I'm smiling down at my daughter when I feel warm muscular arms wrap themselves around me. I rest my head on his arms and close my eyes. Savoring the moment.

"I love you" I whisper.

"I love you more" he whispers back.

He kissed my neck real quick and pulls away.

"Pancakes?" he asks me.

I turn around and smile at him.

"I'll take that as a yes?" he asks me and I nod my head all giddy-like.

He chuckles (hot) and walks away into the kitchen. I hear Ashley waking up below me.

"Hi" I greet her gently in awe and lift her up.... again, gently.

I carry her into the living room and sit with her on the chair waiting for Sean. He comes in moments later putting a plate on the dining table.

"I'm going to make her bottle now" he tells me before walking back into the kitchen.

I sit her in her chair and make myself a plate before turning my attention back to her. She laughs at the funny faces I make.

"I'll feed her babe you eat" Sean tells me as he walks into the room. I nod and start eating my food while Ashley eats.

It was the afternoon. We just put Ashley down for a nap and Sean and I were in the living room sitting on the couch.

"We're getting married" Sean mumbles almost for him than me.

"That we are" I confirm. He smiles ear to ear and looks at me.

"I'm excited" he exclaims.

"Me too"

"I have a question" Sean scoots closer to me.

"And your question is..." I reply for him to go on.

"Well. We are getting married and we have a child. So shouldn't you move in with me?"

I look at him and smile.

"I want to" but then I frown. "But what about Jazz?" I ask him. He thinks for a moment.
