I woke up the next morning in Sean's bedroom. I look to my side and smile to myself as Sean is fast asleep next to me. I've never been happier to wake up next to him. I haven't since THAT morning, which wasn't the best morning.
As creepy as this sounds, I loved watching him sleep. He was on his stomach with one arm on top of my stomach and his face was to the side.... facing me. I never wanted this moment to end because he looked so vulnerable and innocent like this. I couldn't help but touch his face, I just slid the back of my hand on his cheek.
My wishes aren't granted when he opens his eyes. Not like the "first waking up" way, but he just opened them..... this boy.
"Whatcha lookin' at?" he teases, he was awake this whole time.
I look away as I begin to blush. "Nothing in particular" he just lets out a low husky chuckle.
"Tell me what you're thinking." he orders me nicely.
"Um, I think you're adorable looking when you're asleep. It makes me fall in love with you more every time I look at you." I tell him, and his eyes light up with pride. Then he furrows his eyebrows. "What?"
"What do you mean, "you look adorable when you sleep" Don't I look adorable all the time?"
"Well, yes. I was telling you what I was thinking though."
"Fair enough. But not good enough" he scoots closer and pulls me in with the arm on top of me. Next thing I know, he's hovering over me. I just laugh when he starts tickling me.
"No! Stop!" I manage to speak between laughs.
"You know what I want to hear"
"I love you Sean, and you are the hottest man in the entire galaxy" I tell him and he stops tickling me.
"I love you too, you don't know how happy that made me." He leans down and captures my lips in a kiss.
When he pulls away I catch my breath. Before I can say anything I hear crying coming from the other side of the curtain.
"Ashley!" I whisper-shout. I haven't seen my daughter in hours, I miss her so much.
I walk around the curtain to see her crying softly, but not to the screaming point, just little sounds.
When I pick her up and start shushing softly she stops immediately.
"Someone is a mommy's girl." Sean comes behind me.
"Right now, but that'll change. She'll be a daddy's girl totally. Because she has the best dad in the world." I comment and he smiles big, like a little child on Christmas morning.
"Thank you, but she has the best mom in the world too"
"I guess so, but I'm so new to this."
"We'll do this together, and we'll be great and learn together"
"I like that" Then we hear tiny laughing. I look down to see Ashley looking up at me giggling like a baby.... well. She raises her arm and touches my cheek with her hand. She then goes to my nose, then my ear, then my lips, then my eye. Only, she touches just touch my eye.... she pokes it. I hear Sean laughing from behind me.
I change her diaper and walk her into the kitchen. I place her in the high chair and strap her in. I play with her and make silly faces, causing her to giggle. Sean is making her bottle, because that's all she can eat right now.
When Sean is done he hands me the bottle and I feed her. After feeding her I let her sit in the high chair while Sponge-Bob Square-pants plays on the television.
