Today I get to go home! Minnie and Sean were always there at the hospital. When I got out of the hospital bed and changed. Everything came crashing back, the memory and everything. The pain of having the baby. Then holding her, and then hearing about Sean's dad. Everything happened so fast. I met Sean. Now he's apart of my life, and my family.
We signed out of the hospital and I got into Sean's car, the passenger side.
"Welcome back, to the outside world" He jokes, and I giggle.
"Oh why thank you dear Sean" I run with the act. "And to you as well"
"Why thank you Aubrey, I have something to show you at my apartment. What I've been working on."
"Okay, well now I'm anxious"
"So is Ashley" I look back to see Ashley kicking her legs and looking out.. seeing the city for the first time. She looked so amazed, I mean this is all new to her. She then looks at her surroundings, the car, the seats, her car seat. Then she spots me, and her mouth opens into a toothless smile. She just smiles at me, she doesn't know how to wave, or speak. But it made my heart jump.
Noticing our little interaction, Sean parks in our parking garage and then grabs my hand before turning to look at Ashley as well.
"She's beautiful" he whispers. And a tear slides down my cheek. "We make good looking children." I laugh at that.
"I'm a mom, Sean" I get out of the car and so does Sean. He walks over to my side of the car. He pushes me against the car and his lips meet mine. We linger there for a few seconds before we open the door and get Ashley out of her car seat. "Hi there, I'm mommy." I speak to her softly. "I love you" I whisper as Sean leads me up to his apartment.
He unlocks his door and we step in. As soon as I step in a bunch of people shout "Welcome home!"
I look up to see: my parents, Sarah, her husband, Jerry and their 3 year old son Tommy, Minnie, Ricky, Jazz, and Jai. Then Jai's boyfriend Cameron, and Jazz's boyfriend Henry, and other people I'm not familiar with.
"Is that my granddaughter I see?" My mom says as she walks up to me. "Aubrey, it's so nice to see you dear" she greets me as she gently hugs me, as I'm still holding Ashley.
"Mom, everyone. This is so sweet. Thank you!"
"Don't thank us, thank Sean, he planned this, with a little of my help" Minnie adds.
I hand Ashley to my mom. "Mom, meet your granddaughter, Ashley" I tell her before turning around to Sean and crashing his lips onto mine. "Thank you" I whisper as I rest my forehead against his.
"It was my pleasure" he tells me before pulling away. "Come" he grabs my hand and leads me to an older couple. "Mom, Freddie. This is Aubrey, my girlfriend" He introduces me to, his mom and I'm guessing her boyfriend.
"It's nice to meet you sweetie. Please call me Marianne." She greets me.
"It's nice to meet you Marianne" I hug her. "And you too Freddie" I shake his hand.
"The pleasure's all mine" He greets me.
"Aubrey, that's my brother Darrin and my friends Tyler, Kyle, and Reese." He points to each of them.
"Nice to meet you everyone, especially you Darrin"
"Aubrey!" Minnie, Jazz, Jai, and Ricky call out.
"Hi guys!" I greet them, hugging Minnie and Jazz. Doing my hand shake with Jai, and hugging Ricky as well.
"Congrats on Ashley, and Sean" Ricky congratulates me. "I hope you guys have a happy life together."
