Chapter 6 The Ultrasound

Okay, remember where we left off?

"Okay, okay, this is just a dream. ITS JUST A DREAM."

I glance at the pregnancy test once more.
"Nope, this isn't a dream, what do I tell Shadow!"

"What if he does not care. What if he cares but can't handle it. What if he leaves me. What if--"

"No nothing bad will happen. I just gotta tell him the truth. But--"

~KNOCK KNOCK~

I hear at the front door.
If its Shadow, do I tell him now?

"Hello?"

"Hi, Aubrey."

"Shadow! Come in."

We both sat down

"Can I be honest with you. Im afraid to tell you the truth."

He took my hands, looked into my eyes and said "why"

"Because your so quiet and mysterious, how do I know if I can trust you."

"Because I love you, and you can trust me." He said still looking at me making
me drown in his eyes. Gosh he's cute.

"Okay, here I go" I said, I swallowed and he must have heard me because he said.

"Aubrey, you can tell me anything."

"Okay, Im-im p-preg--"

"Pregnant?"

"Ye-yea"

"Oh...." there was a pause "that's gr-great!" He continues while smiling nervously.

I wake up and today is the day I see my doctor about what I can do about the growing human in my stomach. I think Shadow took it sorta well. But the way he said great seemed suspicious to me. He's coming to the doctors though, along with Minnie.

So Minnie and I drive to the doctors in my black BMW did I mention the seats are white and leather. We arrive and Shadow isn't there. At first I though "OK? He's just a little late. No biggie." but after you've waited an hour in the waiting room and finally being called into the room I got nervous.

I guess Minnie noticed because she gave me a big hug. I walked into the room with Nurse Jackie. We did the normal pregnancy check up and then Nurse Jackie left to get the doctor.

Then. 2 minutes before the doctor shows up guess who arrives. Shadow.

"oh hi Shadow, nice of you to stop by! I don't know 1 hour and 30 minutes late!!!" then Doctor Alex walked in and I guess he could tell I rose my voice.

"Oh no Ms.Fawn try not to raise your voice. That'll raise your blood, and temperature which is not good for pregnant women. If this man is causing it he should leave" Doctor Alex explains.

"oh no, he can't leave he is the uh- father. And I don't usually raise my voice but this one right here decides to be late."

3 days later

"so after yesturday have you made a decision" Minnie asked as I make coffee for the both of us.

"I don't know Shadow stopped talking to me. So it all depends. I'm gonna stop by his apartment later today."

"Well after the way he took the info and the fact that he was late for the doctors might be saying something."

"Minnie I know, but what if it's pre parental stress. I read about it last night. After talking to Dr.Alex about abortion and all that ish"

"Maybe, Shadow might just be scared."

"well let's see how this goes. See y'all later Minnie."

*knock knock*

"Hi Shadow"

"Oh uh Hello" uh oh Shadow went back to wearing hoodies again. Also that hello. What was that.

"can I come in? I think it's best to talk."

"i uh guess but my room is off limits for a while." his room door was closed and his entire apartment was spotless. Like wow!

"Wow Shadow. I didn't know you clean" he laughs "so why haven't you been talking to me? You don't answer your calls or texts. This is the first time I've seen you since the doctors?"

"oh I'm sorry my phone is at the repair shop, I've been cleaning, I my home phones are being upgraded, and I haven't left the house. How about a date tomorrow just you and me?"

He says once again so hot. I completely forgot why I am mad at him. Man his smile, why does he have to be so cute. I don't even answer his question I jump from one side of the couch to his lap and we make out for like 4 to 5 minutes.

Idk I don't count XD.

We stop kissing for like 2 seconds "I'm guessing, yes?" he says even cuter. The rest of the day was making out and work so.
