(Warning! This is sad Lapidot! I really like to write about angst romantics.)
"Lapis lazuli?" She took her eyes to Peridot. "What's it, Ditto?" Lapis said coldly. Peridot flinched a bit. "I...I want to know why'd you hate me for my mistakes I made?" Peridot said, her voice cracks little at end. Lapis sighed angrily. "Peridot. You ruined my life. You took what I cared about. You take everything I have. I have nothing left and you expect me to forgive you and be friendly to you? No." Lapis said coldly. Peridot stared at her shocked. She dropped her head. Lapis pay no attention to her and returned to watch calm tides of ocean. Sudden she heard a sob. She looks at her and was surprised to see Peridot crying. She whimpers as she rubs her eyes, push her visionary glasses out of way. Lapis stared at her, stunned by her crying. "L-lapis....I was always being bullied by other gems at Homeworld. Because of my shortness. I'm a genus but they treated me like I am a kid. I was angered by their insults. I don't even think straight. I didn't realize what I have done until Steven saved me. I have realized what did I have done and I really regret everything I did to everyone. I'm so sorry for what I do to you. I'm truly sorry for my mistakes. Please f-forgive me...I...I...I am truly...s-sorry..." Peridot said as sobbing, her voice cracks more at near of end. Peridot buried her head into her hands and sobbed onto it. Lapis stared at her, sudden feeling guilty about her. "Peridot...." Lapis began but Peridot runs off, sobbing. "Peridot!" Lapis reached for her but she's too far away from her. She feels guilty and saddened by her regrets she feels and mistakes she made. Lapis feels that she should go to her and say sorry to her. Suddenly she feel a quake and heard a loud explosion. She looks at where Peridot runs off to and saw a cloud of dust and smoke. She freezes up when she realized where's Peridot was. "PERIDOT!" She screams as she runs toward the smoke.
"PERIDOT!" Lapis screams as she runs thorough the ruins of the building. she pants heavily as she looks around wildly. "Peridot! Where are you, Idiot?! Peridot!!!" Lapis screamed loudly. She began to run toward giant rubbers pile. "Peridot! You Dottie! Idiot! Dumbass! Stupid! Ditto! Please!" Lapis screams loudly. She looks around panicking. "L....Lap....is?" A weak voice spoke out. She looks at the direction of the voice come from. She runs to it. She runs to a broken fountain, she gasped when she saw her. Peridot was leans over the fountain, beaten up by someone. She was terrified when she saw it; Peridot's gem is broken. She runs to her and pick her up. "L-lapis..." Peridot said weakly. Her gem is shattered and bleeding green fluids. Lapis panicked and hold her by her shoulders. "L-lapis.... You're so beautiful-" she cut off when she coughs up green fluid. "Peridot?! D-don't go!" Lapis said as she began to crying. Peridot smiles weakly to her. "D-don't ever change...." She said weakly. "I-I am sorry for hurting you! I don't think that I can hurts someone else's feelings. I'm so sorry. Y-yes, I will try to forgive you. Just p-please don't leave me alone...." She cried to her, tears fell on her hands. She puts her hands on her cheeks. "L-lapis.... I..I think I like you...a lot....." She said weakly. Lapis stared at her as she continued to talking. "Not like a friend likeness. But more like how Ruby feel toward to Sapphire...." Lapis gasped softly and blushes slightly. "Heh, I love you, Lapis...I u-understand if you don't love me back but I want to let you know that I-" she cut off from her coughing fit. Lapis panicked. She stopped coughing. Lapis gulps and bend down to her. "L-lapis....?" She said weakly. Lapis then kissed her on her lip. She can taste the green fluid but she don't care about it. Peridot close her eyes and kiss back weakly. When they still kissed but break up when Peridot began to fizz in and out. Peridot gasped weakly as Lapis hold her in her arms. "Lapis!" She whipped her head to see Steven and Garnet runs to her. "Steven! Garnet!" Lapis said panicked. "What's happening to Peridot?!" Steven said fearfully. "Her gem..." Lapis said rashly. Garnet kneel down beside Lapis and puts her Ruby hand near Peridot's broken gem. "We have to take her back to our house. Steven, I think it's best if you try to heal her at house rather than in this ruins." Garnet said as she looks at Steven. He nods at her. "Lapis, please carry her to our house. Be careful." Garnet said as she stood up. Lapis stood up carefully. She nods slowly at Garnet. All three gems went back to their house.
Garnet kicked the door open, make Pearl, Amethyst, Connie and Greg jump. "Garnet? What's hap-...Oh my gosh.." Pearl said but saw Lapis carry Peridot, put her hands on her mouth. "PERIDOT?!" Amethyst shouted. She walked to the couch hurriedly with Steven follows her. She laid her on the couch. Steven went to her. (Idk how Steven healed people.) Peridot groans and began to wake up. She puts her hand on her gem. Rest of gems (and two humans) sighed in relief. Peridot look around and look away from them. Garnet sighed. "Everyone, leave her alone in peace. She may need some time to recover." Some muttered in agreement. Most of them have left her alone expect Lapis lazuli. Peridot glanced at her and frowned at her sadly. "Lap-" she cut off by Lapis when she hugged her tightly. Peridot grew silent as Lapis began to sobbing into her shoulders quietly so not everyone can hear her. Peridot stay quiet for awhile before slowly hugged her back. "Peridot....Stupid, stupid, stupid dumbass. I don't want to lose you...." Lapis said as she sobs. Peridot gulps and let out a small whimper. Unfortunately, Lapis heard it and looks at her. "Peridot? What's wrong?" She asked. Peridot whimpers softly as tears forms in her eyes. "I'm so sorry for making you feel upset with me. I'm sorry for being stupid. I'm sorry for get you stuck on the earth. I'm sorry for ruining your life. I'm sorry for-" She was cut off by Lapis kissed her, successful shuts her up. She stared at her shocked. Lapis pulled her closer to her. Peridot realize that she hugged her more tight than before. She assumed that she don't want to let her go and lose her. She made a sound as she kissed her back. They continue to kissing in the living room. They began to deepen their kiss. Soon Lapis pulled away a little. "Peridot, I am the one who should say sorry to you. I'm sorry for being a jerk. I'm sorry for hurting you badly. I....I'm sorry for nearly kills you. I really am." She said. Peridot whimpers softly as she hugged her neck. Lapis say nothing as she hugged her waist.
In the barn
"Lapis?" She looks at her, lay on her bed. "Yes, Dottie?" "Do you love me back?" Lapis was taken aback by this question. She sighed softly and smiles at Peridot. "Yes, I do love you." She said lovely to her. Peridot smiles and laid her head on her chest. She soon drift off to sleep. Lapis smiles softly and sleep with her closer to her.
(Well, at least this one has a happy ending.)
