Laila's POV
I was lying to myself. I did like Jackson , a lot. But now I need a new beginning. Jackson made me mad and Jacob well, I know he did nothing wrong but it still broke my heart. I don't know if he even cares.
My thoughts were broken by my a knock on my balcony. I heard a voice ..I knew it instantly, Jacob.
He was singing. His voice is amazing. He was singing sorry by Justin Beiber. I pretended not to notice so I could listen to him sing. Eventually be opens the patio door himself.
" oh uh, hi Jacob. What do you need" I asked in a calm but nervous voice.
" you. ", is all he said, my face lit up.
My eyes welled up with tears and my cheeks got red. I looked up at him. He is now standing closer.
" But what abo-" mid sentence he interrupts by him smashing his lips against mine. It was soft but passionate. It felt amazing. I've been wanting this for so long!
I smiled through the kiss. He noticed and smiled too.His lips were soft. It's like they were ment to be on mine. It felt like nothing those other dared kisses felt like. This one was filled with explosions of fireworks and sparks. Just how I imagined.
It turned into a make out session. It lasted about 12 minutes. Then I pulled away at the sound effects of my phone going off. It was my mom. I declined the call and said I would call back later.
I looked I those those hazel eyes, I could stare into them for hours.
" but what about Kristen ?!" I said worried that Jacob might of just cheated on her.
" it was all a set up..." He said getting angry. We both yelled in unison. " MADDIE!" Wait...
"What did she do to you Jacob?"she ask in suspicion.
" Maddie set Kristen up to come talk to me after I found out that you were going out with Jackson. I needed to get my mind off you or else it would make me oven more sad. I asked if she wanted to come hang out, as friends, and she said ok. Normally I wouldnt stand 10 minutes with Kristen but I just pretended I was with you. Out of the blue she kissed me and I pushed her away but she pulled me back in. I was still thinking about you so I kissed back, pretending it was you. When I saw you I emediatly felt bad. Then Kristen told me that Maddie set it up to were you would see that and not like me anymore. " Jacob says.
" oh.." I say.
" Maddie set me up too. On my date with Jackson she comes out of no where are says 'hey babe' to Jackson. Then she explains that she has been dating Jason for a while. She wanted me heart broken. She knew I would run to you ! She set us both up! I knew that when Jackson said that he loved me it wasn't true...." I say.
" wait...he said he loved you!!" Jacob yells in anger.
" ya he must of so that I was even more heart broken when I found out it was a lie " I say.
"did you say it back...." Jacob asks worried.
" no, because I didn't love him. " I say. The last few words of my sentence were mumbled because Jacob pulls me into a hug. I love his hugs. We spent the rest of the night talk by and playing games and watching Netflix. When I'm sad I always watch the little mermaid to cheer me up. Jacob must of known that because as I was coming up the stairs with snacks I hear the " under the sea" song playing.
I run in my room and start to sing along. Jacob looks at me while I sing. " take a picture it will last longer.."I say grinning.
" it's jut your voice..it's amazing. " he says blushing. After that we finish the movie. I slowly fall asleep leaning on Jacob. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened. When we were 8 we went to the lake together and the car ride was so long I fell asleep on his shoulder. We have had so many memories together. All our lives we have been so much better because we have been friends. I look at my charm bracket recalling all the memories. I catch a glance of the back of a charm. It had writing on it.
I've never noticed that. I read the fine print. Every charm had a message. The 1st charm I received was a smile. It's message was : be•you•tiful.
The rest off the charms had their sweet custom messages. Tears welled up in my eyes. I felt bad because I never did that to his charms. My tear must have rolled of my fave and onto his arm. And woke him up.
" hey, what wrong?" He asks me.
" the charms ...the messages..I never knew. " he smiled and looked down at me because he was taller than me.
" took you long enough to notice. Ever since day one I put those on there. I'm glad you finally saw them. " he says with a smile.
AN- so Jacob and Laila finally kiss!! ...again 😂. They are so cute! Next chapter coming soon. Happy readings!
