Gerard and Frank sat in Gerard's bedroom sipping on large cups of coffee surrounded by an awkward silence. Well, Frank found it awkward, Gerard didn't really notice and was enjoying the quiet.

'So, em, Gerard.' The silence was driving Frank crazy and he didn't realise it was comforting to Gerard. 'How come I didn't know Mikey had a sibling?'

Gerard, who had been enjoying the silence was rather upset that they now had to talk.

Gerard laughed slight, 'you should be asking Mikey that, not me.'

'I did, he didn't give me a real answer.'

'Well, if I were Mikey, I probably wouldn't mention my older sibling either, I wouldn't find it a necessity in the friendship for you to know about my family unless you met them. Plus, I know Mikey rather well, he probably didn't want me to embarrass him or something, which is rather fair. And Mikey thinks I'm pretentious, which I guess could be considered true.'

Frank remembered that Mikey had said Gerard was pretentious, he just didn't think they would have known that. 'Oh.'

'Does that answer your question?'

'Eh, yeah, it does.' Frank smiled weakly. They sat in silence again, Frank still felt awkward sitting in his friends siblings room on their bed in silence but Gerard didn't realise this would be awkward for Frank. Of course, if Gerard was in the situation Frank was in, well they wouldn't be because they wouldn't have gotten into it. But if Gerard had somehow miraculously gotten into a similar situation then Gerard would most definitely feel more uncomfortable than Frank currently did.

'What do you like to do with your time?' Frank asked in desperation to have a conversation.

'Art, I guess,' Gerard shrugged, forgetting to ask what Frank liked to do and essentially ruining Frank's hope of talking.

'Can I see some of it, maybe?' Frank smiled hopefully.

'Uh, some other time,' Gerard blushed lightly.

'Ok, well...'

'Do you want to do something? We could go to the park?' Gerard offered, possibly realising how awkward this was for Frank.

'Sure, yeah,' Frank shrugged.

Pete stood in shock in the middle of his kitchen. He had been stood in shock for almost ten minutes, ever since Mikey had blurted words out of his mouth that Pete never thought he would hear.

'Pete, are you ok? Can you hear me?' Mikey was starting to freak out, which was completely rational because he had just told someone that they meant a lot to him and he really liked them. Mikey never thought he would be telling someone these things, or if he would that it would be in many, many years.

'I really like and care about you too.' Pete said, barely out of his trancelike state. Then he took a step forward and pulled Mikey towards him, with the biggest smile on his face, and kissed him softly on his cheek.

'Oh thank fuck!' Mikey sighed in relief and let himself relax into a hug with Pete and smile.

'Will you be my boyfriend?'

Mikey kissed Pete's forehead gently, 'of course.'

They both stood in their embrace smiling, absolutely content to be silent together and enjoy the moment.

'I need coffee,' Gerard and Frank were stood outside the park, they hadn't taken into account the time of day and the fact that the intended use of a play park is for children to play in it.

'We had coffee about five minutes ago?'

'Problem?' Gerard looked at Frank.

'None whatsoever,' Frank shrugged, 'I need a cigarette.'
