CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE // LAMB SKEWERS
Jungkook POV"Hurry up, Jungkookie, we're gonna be late!" Jimin shouts, his loud voice echos through my large apartment as I slip on a my tanned timberlands. I pop a painkiller into my mouth and swallow it dry, my headache is only getting worse but I refuse to go to the doctor, I can't stand going there.
"Are you kidding me? You think we'll be late? I bet Yoongi's not even awake yet," I say as I walk to the door to see the cheerful orange haired boy. "Let's go, let's go, let's go," he says as he slaps my arms and pushes me out the door, I giggle at him as I stumble forward.
"Why did they even want to meet with us today?" I ask him and he shrugs and locks my door. "Taehyung wanted to go shopping but didn't want to go alone so he invited Yoongi, who invited me, but Tae said that he wouldn't go unless you went... don't tell him I told you that, he'll kill me," Jimin says and I chuckle and nod as we walk down the hallway of my apartment complex and then down the stairs.
We wait by the bus stop until a bus finally shows up, we hop onto it and wait about ten minutes for our stop at the shopping mall. We walk inside the large place that's filled with a variety of stores and take out restaurants. And way too many people. I glance around at all the people nervously and then back down at my feet, I finally look up again when Jimin nudges me, "look there they are," he says and points to the tall brown haired boy and the tiny mint haired boy.
We both smile at them as they approach. "Hey, what's up guys?" Jimin says and Yoongi simply groans and leans all of his weight onto Jimin's shoulders as he clutches his stomach. "I'm hungry," he mumbles and Jimin chuckles while Taehyung simply rolls his eyes. "You've pretty much eaten every single ounce of food in my apartment, you seriously can't still be hungry," he mumbles and smirks at the mint haired boy.
"Fight me, kid."
I laugh silently but get interrupted by my stomach growling furiously, "actually, I'm kinda hungry too," I say as I rub my stomach and Yoongi gasps and quickly leaves Jimin's side as he plants himself next to me and lays his arms over my shoulders lazily, his weight making me stumble a bit. "Finally, someone shares my pain, let's all go get some food before I die," Yoongi exaggerates and Jimin and Taehyung glance at each other before shrugging. "Where do you two want to go?" Taehyung asks and we both think for awhile.
"There's this lamb skewer place around here somewhere," Yoongi says and looks around the crowded area. This time I'm the one to gasp. "Lamb skewers? I'm all in," I say and Yoongi claps briefly as Taehyung and Jimin groan. "I'm not eating that," Jimin says and Taehyung nods, "me neither."
"Picky, picky," Yoongi says and shakes his head as he pulls me in the opposite direction of the two boys. "We'll be back soon," I call out as the mint haired boy, that I was once petrified of, drags me by my frail wrist though the busy shopping centre. We enter the food court with tiny little businesses scattered around, every place having a distinct, delicious smell.
We spot the lamb skewer place that he was talking about and impatiently wait in line. After only a few minutes Yoongi begins tapping his foot while placing his hands on his hips, he even yells at an elderly lady to "move it or lose it" once the line begins moving up, needless to say he got whacked in the stomach by her cane making me crack up and crouch down on the ground in uncontrollable laughter.
We finally order our skewers and happily sit at a table for two while munching on the tasty food. It was worth the long wait.
"You know, you're the only one that I know who actually eats this, I had to force Hoseok to eat them with me once," Yoongi says and I chuckle, "yeah, Jimin won't eat this either," I say with a mouthful and he smiles at the mention of him.
"So... you and Jimin seem to be getting closer lately," I start to say and he nods and takes another bite, "yeah I guess, he's a really good friend," he says and I stop for a moment, he seems kinda down talking about their friendship. "Is something wrong?" I ask and he shrugs and sighs. "I don't know, I've just been feeling kinda left out lately when Jimin hangs out with Hoseok, he can't keep his eyes off of him," he explains and a silence drapes over us.
"So, you and Taehyung seem to be getting closer now a days," he breaks the silence and I nod and try to think of my best and honest response but it's kind of difficult, "yeah, I guess," I mumble and take another bite, hoping he won't ask me more, but of course he does.
"Is everything okay?" He asks and I shrug and stare at him with honest eyes as I lean in closer so our conversation is more disclosed. "Do you think Tae is trustworthy?" I ask him and he seems shocked. "What kind of question is that? Of course he is," he says and scoffs at my idiotic question. "Seokjin said that he isn't who he says he is, I don't know what that means," I say and he immediately goes quiet.
"Yoongi hyung?" I ask and he opens his mouth and clamps it shut again. "Don't mind the bull that comes out of his mouth, Taehyung is one hundred percent trustworthy," he says and I eye him skeptically due to his long pause before answering. "Are you sure?" I ask and he nods, "positive, now come on let's go," he says as we both stand up and begin walking back to shopping area of the mall. I trust Yoongi, after all he's very wise and a good listener and he's my favourite person to talk to, but I just don't seem to trust his words this time.
