CHAPTER THIRTY FOUR // HOSPITAL
Jungkook POV

I groan as my eyes slowly open, the pain from a recent headache still lingers. I stretch my arms out and rub my hands over my tired eyes. A sigh escapes my dry lips as I sit up from my bed and grab a blanket and wrap it around myself as I stumble out of my bedroom and down the hallway. I plop myself down on the couch and turn on the TV, there's nothing on but borning and repetitive shows but I still force myself to watch them in order to take my mind off of my own thoughts.

Suddenly I hear a few knocks on the door and I groan loudly and audibly as I stand up--the blanket still wrapped securely around me--as I make my way to the door. I open the door slowly to reveal Taehyung standing there, he immediately cracks up at the sight of me. "Someone's sleepy," he mumbles and I scoff. "No, not at all," I counter sarcastically and he shrugs innocently and makes his way into my apartment while draping his arm over my shoulder, easily replacing the warmth that the blanket had offered in seconds.

"Did you sleep well?" He asks as he we sit down on the couch together, I rest my pounding head on his shoulder. "Well enough," I mutter and reach my hands up to message my temples that have grown their own heartbeat. Taehyung studies me, "headache?" I nod and he sighs and I lean more into his sturdy and comforting shoulder.

"I'll go get you pain killers," he says and suddenly gets up making me topple over to the side. He starts laughing hysterically at me as I pout and wrap the blanket closer to my body. I hear him humming to himself as he walks out of the living room and down the hallway, the humming slowly drifting further and further away. I hear him rummaging around in the bathroom as I close my eyes and focus on the background sounds of the TV.

Suddenly I hear a loud crash making my eyes open wide. "Ah fuck!" I hear him hiss and I immediately drop the blanket and sprint to the bathroom. "Tae?" I scream as I approach the bathroom. Once I enter I see him sitting on the floor clutching his ankle while gritting his teeth. "Are you okay?" I ask frantically as I bend down next to him and try to examine his foot but he swats me away.

He attempts to stand up, "oh yeah, it's fin- ow!" He yelps as he collapses back on the ground. "Tae, you need to go to a hospital," I say and grab his arm and help him stand he nods as we make our way down the hallway, my shoulder supporting half of his weight making me walk slower than usual. He hobbles toward the couch as I run back to my room and change into simple grey sweatpants and a white t-shirt that were laying on the ground. I run back out of the room and quickly grab Taehyung who has managed to put on his jacket and one shoe.

He slings his arm over my shoulder and I help him limp out of the room, as we enter the elevator I call a taxi since that seems to be the easiest way to get to a hospital. We wait for only a few minutes before I help his enter the small vehicle. Taehyung tells the driver the address and he quickly begins driving, as we drive I draw circles on the back of Taehyung's hand with the pad of my finger, he smiles and I do too.

I quickly hop out of the taxi as it stops at the hospital and I pay him before assisting Taehyung out. We slowly but surely make our way into the building, I hold my breath as we do. Sweat pours down my face being in a hospital again, but I have to do what has to be done to help Taehyung. We walk to the waiting room and he stops suddenly.

"I'll go sign myself in, can you go get me a bottle of water from the vending machine? I'm really thirsty and I want something cold to ice my ankle with," I stare at him skeptically before nodding and letting go of his body, he hops over to the front desk as I go around the corner and pop a few coins into the machine and wait for the bottle to come out. I grab it and make my way back to the waiting room where Taehyung is now sitting in a chair with his leg propped up on the seat next to him.
