Niall's POV
"Toy Story!" Liam shouted. We were just deciding what movie to watch.
Harry put his hand on Liam's shoulder, squeezing it a little. "But mate, we've seen it so many times. A different movie tonight."
"NOOOOOOOOO!" Liam mourned for the movie we wouldn't be watching tonight and fell onto his knees.
I was just about to sit on the couch, when the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it!" I yelled to the other four lads, even though they were standing near me.
I walked down the hallway and opened the front door. I looked around and there was nobody out there. We weren't expecting anybody, but still, the doorbell rang. Right as I was about to give up, a gunshot blared, and a bullet flew past me, just barely grazing my ear. It hit a vase of flowers behind me, shattering it. I looked around with wide eyes, looking for the origin of the gunshot, but I could see nothing. My hand flew up to my ear, coming back with a bit of blood on it.
I heard the lads come running in as I closed the door.
"What happened here?!" Daddy Direction yelled, taking charge.
"Um... I... Uh... I came to get the door, but there was nobody there. I turned around to walk back to the living room and knocked over the vase." I lied easily. I didn't want them to call Simon; I didn't want a ton of body guards here.
I watched as Liam's eyes narrowed on my ear for a slight second, before returning to normal on my face. "Fine. Clean it up."
They left and I began cleaning the mess up. I picked up the shell- it was still warm- and held it for a second before throwing it into the dustpan.
I'm pretty sure someone just tried to kill me.
Alex's POV
Damn. I completely missed any important part of him. I'm usually better than this.
I sat back in the car for a second, window still down, and thought. I hoped he hadn't told his friends. That would screw up the entire job.
I rolled up the window, taking the keys out of the ignition, and got out of the car. I took my small handgun and clicked the safety on, before shoving it into the waist of my pants. I wore a loose shirt, so I could hide it well. I checked the inside pocket of my leather jacket for my knife. When it was there, I ducked down to the level of the side-view mirror and fixed my curled hair. I applied new lipstick and smiled, knowing the easiest way to get to them would be with my looks.
I stood straight and began to walk to the house. I looked in the front window. My five targets were watching Titanic, tears rolling down all their faces. Pussies.
I walked to the front door, ringing the doorbell. I heard bickering about who was going to get the door, before I heard a sigh. I summoned the biggest, cheekiest smile I could, right as the door opened.
There, stood the one named Louis. His hair was a wreck, and his eyes were red from crying. Seeing me standing there, he stood up straight, laying his hair down and rubbing his eyes.
He smiled a dashing smile, the same one from the picture, and spoke to me.
"Hello love. Who are you?"
I winked at him. "That's for me to know and for you to find out. Now, do you have a loo I could use? I've got to go terribly bad and I'm afraid I just can't wait. It's Alex." I said in a flirty voice, while looking up through my eyelashes.
He grinned at me again before stepping aside. "I'll show where it is."
He led me to the loo, before closing the door. I took my gun out of my pants and gently set it on the counter. I really did have to use the loo.
I washed my hands and put my gun back at my waist, adjusting my shirt so it was invisible.
"Thank you so much. I'll just be going now." I said to Louis.
"No!" He said a little too quickly. "We were just about to put The Hangover in! Stay for a while!"
Jackpot.
"Oh no. I can't. I really must go."
I grinned internally as he said, "I insist."
He led me to the living room where I sat down on the couch with the other lads.
Louis introduced me, and I kept up my façade all night.
At the end of the movie, I yawned. "I don't mean to be a bother, but I don't suppose I can sleep here. Can I?"
Louis grinned at me. "I'll show you the way."
"Louis! We just met her! She can't stay here!" The one called Harry tried to reason.
"Har-ry. Please? She'll sleep in my room! That way if she kills me it's my fault!" All the lads laughed, except for Niall, whose hand subconsciously went to his ear.
Louis didn't wait for anyone to reply before he grabbed my hand and started running up some stairs.
When we got to the room I was staying in, Louis took off his shirt.
"I hope you don't mind staying with me tonight."
I winked at him before saying, "Not at all."
I laid down with him, waiting until he fell asleep to stand up and change into the clothes he had given me. I took the gun off the side table where I set it. I caressed his face with the end of it, my thumb itching to turn the safety off.
He started to move in the bed and his hand came to scratch where the tip of my gun was. His hand knocked into it hard and his eyes shot open.
"Fuck. That hurt. What was that?" He questioned groggily.
By the time he could focus on me, I had taken the gun and slid it right under his bed, just out of view.
"I- uh- I wanted to see what book that was on the bedside table." I was thankful that there was actually a book there.
"That's oka- Did I hit you?" He sat up and looked at me.
"Um. Yeah... I'm-I'm fine though!"
"Im so sorry Alex."
"It's fine. It was an accident. Go back to sleep."
He leaned back and within minutes I heard him snoring again.
I leaned against the headboard and lightly bashed my head into it a few times. Leaning over, I kissed his cheek, whispering "Oh how I wish I didn't have to kill you all."
