Chapter 5

Niall's POV

It had been two days since the last time I talked to Alex; the day that I found out that she was the one who had tried to kill me. Louis was ignoring me and I had no idea why, but I had a strong feeling that it was her fault. This had been going on sincce Alex and I came downstairs that day.

I walked down the stairs and pushed open the kitchen door. I saw Alex and decided that it would be ideal for my to just ignore her. I was watching her though, because she was standing by the butcher block. I heard Alex singing one of our songs under her breath as she got herself a bowl of cereal. I furrowed my brow. My mind was having a hard time understanding why she would try to kill me if she was a fan of our band.

I smiled. "Aww. Look at wittle Awex! Eating cereal like an innocent person!"

She started choking on her cereal and Louis chose that moment to walk in. "Who's an innocent person?"

"Not Alex." I said under my breath.

"I don't know if you knew this Niall, but you don't have to be a complete asshole." Alex said.

I faked shock. "What? I don't?! Oh my God! Who knew that after somebody tries to kill you, you have to be n-" I felt a hard hit to my head and blacked out.

Lou's POV

"Who's an innocent person?" I said as I walked into the kitchen, only to find I didn't want to be in there.

Niall mumbled under his breath and I was about to ask him what he said, when Alex spoke up. "I don't know if you knew this Niall, but you don't have to be a complete asshole."

He looked at her in mock shock. "What? I don't?! Oh my God! Who knew that after somebody tries to kill you, you have to be n-"

I watched in horror as Alex pulled a gun out of her waistband and hit Niall over the head with the butt of it. She looked at Niall for a second before turning it to me.

The look in her eyes was of pure fear. She brought the pointer finger of her left hand to her lips. "Shhhhh." She kept the gun pointed at me while I nodded shakily.

She looked at me with fear in her eyes. "What's going on guys? You're not kicking me out are you? Since I decided not to kill you, I have nowhere to-" She slapped her hand over her mouth, looking at me and asking with her eyes, if I would cover up for her.

I just shook my head. "Alex. I think it's about time that we tell them."

Alex nodded her head and told them what she did. When they started to freak out, I stepped in to defend her, telling them her decision not to do it. The one thing that I told Alex to keep from them, was Ryder's name. We could deal with that another time.
