Chapter 15

It's about 11:30 pm and I wake up by a shattering noise from across my room. It's that freaky Jolene woman!

She sees that I'm awake and freezes right on the spot. Suddenly Jake comes rushing in since he's my bodyguard.

It looks like the woman starts to cry!

"What's going on here?" Jake asks.

The woman runs toward the door but Jake sidesteps her. She crashes into him and squeezes her way into the hallway. Jake turns around to go after her but I stop him from doing it.

"Jake, wait! Just leave her alone. She's mad and crazy! We'll deal with her in the morning."

"But she could've hurt you, just look at this mess! It's my job to protect you from any harm."

I see a sudden glistening sparkle in his eyes. Why did it appear? For some reason I don't know....It could be a lot of things, like not knowing if he himself is safe or not knowing what's going to happen to him in the future? It must be terrifying to protect yourself and a princess at the same time! He should really take a break...

"Jake, I think you should go on a long break to reassure your mind?"

"I don't have to do it alone, you know... I have a surprise for you tonight! Dress fancy and don't eat anything before our date."

"Our date?" I admit of having a smirk right there!

"Isabelle, 'date' isn't an appropriate word for our gathering... "

"If you say so, Jake..." My first date! Oh my word, what am I going to wear? He said to dress fancy.

I decide to wear my black and red gown that hung in the huge closet beside my bed. I chose to put on heels...It's not like we are going hiking or something! And it's fancy!

I meet Jake outside my room looking rather formal himself...

"Oh, did I forget to mention that you'll need swimwear?" Jake asks me first thing.

"Swimwear? You said to dress fancy! And it's like in the middle of the night."

"Yes I did, and by the way-you look beautiful. The swimwear is part of the surprise.... "

"Well, I'll go get mine!" I rush back in to get mycostume. It's quite pretty! It's a red full-body with golden sequins and agolden chain that wraps around the neck and comes back to the chest. "Okay, wecan go!" I turn around to nothing but walls and doors. Where is Jake ? I catcha glimpse of rose petals covering the floor! It's like a trail that leads meout into the garden and towards the forest!\^*
