Another World

Chapter 18

I wake up and have another visitor. Someone who also tried to win me over at love. Quinton. At least he didn't take me on a very romantic date and admitted he had a relationship with a python warrior and would've made me fall in love with him and get rewarded with a one night stand. That's about it.

I just stare outside the window. When I look at him, he gives me a glare. Obviously he heard about everything. "Why don't you just ask him yourself, okay? You're both guys so you'll understand better if it comes from him and also tell him that I don't want him to be my bodyguard anymore. I need some space. Females only!"

"Oookaayyy... I'll let Hanna check up on you later."

"Thanks Quinton! I hope you understand." I hope that I understand! Am I being fair by shutting him out? Argh! There's so much to think about.

Quinton leaves me in silence and I decide to have some breakfast on my balcony. Little dwarves dressed like servants came to take my order of french toast and coffee. Extra strong coffee. When I finished, I soaked in a deep and steaming hot bath in the Chinese Gardens. It's basically a glass dome with a keypad outside with orchids and roses and trees inside that hide a bamboo covered bathtub. It's really beautiful! As I started to buff my nails inside the tub, I heard the keypad unlocking the door! Someone's coming. And I'm naked, that's a big problem.. "Hello? Is somebody there?" The person walks towards me and when he sees me he turns around fast and apologizes. Jake. Is it surprising? No! "Jake! Get out! I'm taking a bath, creep!"

"Sorry! I was just coming to collect my um, key!"

"Key? Who hides a key in a public bathroom?"

"Um, it's a secret key to my private spot in the forest! It's underneath the tub."

I check if I can feel the key underneath the tub but nothing.

"Jake, I don't feel it." I sigh because I know what's going to happen. "You'll have to come and get it."

"I'm sorry! I'll close my eyes." He walks toward me and covers his eyes with his hands. Luckily my body is covered with bubbles so he definitely wouldn't see anything. He bends down and I hear a clicking sound. He stands up and walks away. "Thank you, your Majesty."

Looks like he knows how to push my emotional buttons...

Chapter 19

I sit on my bed thinking how hectic things have been. The python warrior attack on day 1, lying in hospital all day on day 2, checking Jolene out on day 3, my date last night until this morning on day 4. Three and a half days left. Then Hanna enters my room. She's neatly dressed, like always. Except, her hair isn't completely white like the last time. She has violet streaks. "Hi Hanna! Come in."

"Thanks, Isabelle! Shall we sit in your office? I need to talk to you." I have an office?!

"Okay. I'll be ready in 2 minutes!"

"Alright, see you in two minutes." She walks out into the hallway.

I rush into my dress room and put on a white gown with maroon sequins. And of course, maroon stilettos! I quickly tie my hair into a neat bun. As I exit my room, I run into Auriella. She seems kind of down lately... As I pass by, I ask her where my office is. Ironic, isn't it! She explains that if I walk down the steps towards the reception room, I will find a big wooden doorway on my left. I thank her in hope of finding my way to the office. She then asks me if we could meet sometime tonight. Of course I say yes because she is in need of talking to me. We say goodbye and start our own ways. The next thing I know, I'm inside my office! It's quite fancy. Oak furniture and a velvet carpet. Against the west wall there is a huge four-poster bookcase. Hanging against the other walls are portraits of previous rulers. Mostly women, I assume that the men died during insane battles. I really hope that won't happen to us! I mean firstly, it's insane to even know that we're in another world! Teleported to this strange place and protecting a rose bush! While training to be a princess. Now that's insane!

But I guess that we don't have much of a choice. No wonder nature disasters take place so often for the last month! They need a Princess Isabelle. And a Prince Quinton. But they should not expect us to marry each other!

"Hanna? Are you in here?" I ask because there's just me in the room.

No answer but only the floor rotating and moving downwards! Immediately I run towards the door but it's too high up by the time I reach it. It's getting darker as I move down like inside an elevator. Everything is in place and still neat but it seems that the walls grow taller. After about one minute the floor stops and I see a place very familiar. The underground base. There's lots of soldiers and quad bikes and a jet! My private plane?! I step away from the floor and see how it rises. The first person to walk towards me is Hanna.

"Hello Isabelle, I see you found our built-in secret transporter. Whenever you want to go somewhere in the kingdom, the transporter could take you there." She says with a smile.
