Chapter 20
"Um, okay. Thanks! What's going on?"
"Oh, yeah. Sorry! We are going to show you around the kingdom with your jet plane! Meet your soldiers..." She directs to the whole underground base.
I've seen some of these faces around the palace. They all move like a rhythm together. They make way for a path that leads to the plane. Hanna and I walk towards the plane. Among the guards securing the jet, I see Jake and Auriella. She smiles at me and Jake just stares at the ground. Hanna stops in front of me and says, "Girls first." That's weird because she's also a girl...
I smile sincerely and walk up the staircase. My jaw drops when I see what it looks like on the inside! Beige colored leather seats and two compartments! I walk past a little bar and into the back compartment. There's a little bathroom, four little bedrooms and a dining room in the middle of it all.
"Is this all for me? And for you too, of course?" I ask in astonishment.
"Yes! Being a princess has its perks." Hanna answers matter-of-factly. "Every princess has one." As if I knew that.
"Wow. How can I ever thank you?" I ask with a crooked smile.
"You don't thank anyone. You're a princess and people serve you. Don't ever forget that! It's an absolute law."
"Um, okay." I sigh. Kind of terrified. "So, what going to happen next?"
Hanna gestures for me to take a seat. I sit down and she talks again.
"The guards around us will be patrolling the kingdom while we and the guards outside this jet, will be flying with us to show you what this beautiful kingdom is."
"Great, but where's Quinton?" I give her a questioning look.
"Well, you know boys... wanted to explore via the quads!"
"Oh." Well thanks Quinton! Now I'm stuck with Jake on my own! "So what are we waiting for?" I give a politely grin.
"Oh, before I forget! Meet our pilot, Austin." She has one huge smile upon her face but no one appears. "Austin?"
I'm starting to think we have no pilot when a handsome guy, approximately my age comes bursting into the compartment.
"Hey! Sorry. Oh, I see the princess is here..." Austinjust stands there. And clearly he's blushing. But why? For being late or beinglate in front of the princess? "Very sorry, your majesty." He sincerely bows tome and walks right to the cockpit. I just smile but he doesn't see it. Mustthink his princess is a stiff..�.
