Chapter 20

As we take off, I decide to not be a coward and walk straight to Austin. As I walk, I feel the adrenaline rushing through my legs. It's so exhilarating to walk again. I knock on the door at the cockpit and Austin just says, "Just come in. I don't have time for rubbish, already looked like a junkie in front of the princess." I raise my eyebrows as I sit down in the left seat.

"Sounds like you have some issues.."

"Oh my word. I'm so sorry for saying that to you!" For the first time I actually see his face. His eyes are perfectly shaped with ice-crystal blue filling them. His hair, a sandy caramel brown. His jawline is so muscled and firm... Stop it, Isabelle! But I must say, how many cute guys are there in this kingdom? Geez whiz! Don't get me started on those biceps... is it getting hot in here, or is it just me?

"You know, it's kind of getting chilly up here, don't you say?" Yep, just me.

"Yeah, it's totally getting hot in here." Did I just say it's getting hot? "I mean, yeah it's chilly up here!"

How on this kingdom am I going to survive between all these people. Hanna, Quinton, Jake, Auriella, Austin and even myself?

He just laughs at me and tilts his head.

"See something you like?" His smile grows until it's only white escaping through his lips.

"Um yeah, the view is extraordinary!" I smile confidently. Suddenly there's a knock on the door from behind us.. I turn my head and see Jake. Also very, very attractive but how would you feel if the guy you like has a secret. One that involves kidnapping and a reward.

"Sorry to disturb... whatever this is. Isabelle, can I maybe talk to you for a sec?" I hesitate but just answer to get on with my talk to Austin. "Um, I'm kind of busy right now. But we can talk later." I give a comforting grin.

"Isabelle, it's really important! We need to talk."

"Whoa there! The princess said later. Good bye." Austin covers for me...

Jake just frowns and slams the door shut. I just don't have the energy to argue with him right now. I wish that we could re-do that night, you know, not let things have gotten that far. Especially in the bedroom. Not that things got that far, but still. I wanted it to be special but someone crashed the party too early.

"Hey, um Austin? Could you maybe do me a favor?"

"Depends on what it is, princess..." he gives me a sarcastic-like sweet smile.

"Um, I want you to hunt down a woman I know very well! She's roaming these grounds at this very moment..."

He gives me that whylook. "She ruined my date with someone.'' He gives me that why-should-i-really-do-you-a-favor look. "Because she ruined mydate and she's with the pythons." Isay irritated with this attitude of him.om",".^W^
