~Chapter Seven~
"What the hell is that." His tone slow and shaky. I turn around. Standing there, on it's hind legs, is what looks like a gigantic brown grizzly bear, leaving the shadows of the cave.
"SHIT" I sprint for the flowing water and dive in. At first I kind of just float there. I closed my eyes, my stomache just below the surface. Letting all my thoughts sink to the pool beneath me. Until the grasp of Liam's hands wrap around my waist, lifting me out of the water. He probably though I hit my head or something. My head rests on his shoulder, my hands sit tightly around his neck. Maybe I did hit a rock, cause my head is going off like a alarm clock that wont stop, and I keep taking heavy breathes. Liam lays me down on a hard surface, with my head aresting on his lap. I can't help but cough up water.
"You good?" Liam says. I slowly sit up to face him. Then I punch him hard in the shoulder.
"No I am not good. YOU IDIOT" I cross my arms.
"Calm down...nothing was even there, just some trees I rearranged while you zoned out. He laughs.
"You could've fucking killed me you asshole." I stand up and limp off to find my shorts and shirts. Struggling to put the shirts around my leg, I hand the job over to Liam again. Soon this is going to become a habit. Giving in.
"Thanks." I say completely annoyed with my thought.
"Any better?"
"No. Well kind of. The water defiantly helped."
"Well the swelling has gone down for sure."
"Wait whoa there was swelling! Since when!?"
"Since forever? Ash, it was like 2 times the size as your other leg. What do you expect from a big metal box crashing down on you?"
"I purposly didn't look at it." I tell him.
"That's probably a good idea, it's not the prettiest thing."
"Thanks for the confidence boost." I look at him to see we've locked gazes. His eyes are a deep ocean blue with a soft rim of green arond the puple. I would swim in those eyes. "What." I say.
"Oh, nothing." We're both lying in the tall warm grass. His cheeks look a little flush.
"No seriously." I hate when people do that.
"I was just looking at your eyes." Woah coincidence.
"Oh." I look away, not wanting him to see me blush.
"Sorry."
"No, uhh, we should get going." I stand up to grab my bag and walk off into the opposite direction we came from.
"What are you doing!" Liam yells from behind me, still making his way off the ground.
"Doing what we were originally suppose to be doing."
"But I'm enjoying my time here." He wines.
"Good for you. Now get off your lazy ass and help me find the fucking plane like you said was smart in the first place." I say.
"Geez. Yeah yeah I'm coming.:
"Fantastic."
I was just looking at your eyes...
...
It's nightfall now. Still not a plane in sight. The sun sits ontop of the tree line. Above me the sky is blue, but when you look ahead it starts to turn a purple, then pink and orange.
