Chapter 11

~Chapter Eleven~

Should I tell them I know? I'm seriously going crazy. I knew I sucked at keeping secrets, but I didn't know it'd be this difficult to keep it from them. It almost slipped twice today at the waterfall. Gosh I gotta learn to keep my mouth shut..

"Hey Ash common it'll be fun!"

"No way am I doing that."

"Listen to Clay, Ashley. I did it and it was amazing!"

"If you think I'm jumping from all the way up there your crazy!" I yell.

"Baby.." Liam said it loud enough for me to hear. 

"I am so not a baby!" 

"Prove it." Clay shouts.

"FINE." What the hell have I gotten myself into..I march up to the boulders that lead up to the thin but tall waterfall. Then I climb.

"You need any help?" Both Clay and Liam laugh.

"SHUT UP." I continue to climb. They do some sort of fist bump and say something else but I'm so focused on getting up the rocks I can't hear them.

I pull myself over the edge. "YES. Who's a baby now!?" I tease in Liams face.

"Yeah whatever." 

"I knew you could do it by the way." Clay wispers in my ear. He gives me goosebumps. I smile.

"Thanks."

"Well?" 

"Well what Liam.."

"He's wondering if your gonna jump." Clay adds.

"Hahahahahhhaaaha no way."

"K guys I'll be back in a bit. Gotta go to the bathroom." Clay leaves. Worst part of this place, the bathroom situation.

"Right before she jumps!" 

"I'm sure she'll do fine." Clay tells Liam.

"I'm glad someone has faith in me.." I give Liam an annoyed glair. "Bye Clay."

Clays gone and I'm here alone with Liam. We haven't really been alone with him since Clay got here.

"I'm so not jumping." I tell him.

"K, I'll tell you what."

"What."

"Do you trust me Ash?" He hasn't called me Ash since that day either..

"Yes."

"Then take my hand." He let's his hand out towards me and I don't hesitate to take it this time. I accidentally look to his face and our eyes lock. "Ready?" He doesn't break the tension between us.

"Noo.."

"I know you can do this." And suddenly the moment felt like a big deal, that maybe something could come of it. We turn together and within seconds we're in the air.

"AHH!" Then within seconds we hit the water. We pop up together as I catch my breath. We pause. Then we laugh. 

"That was-"

"I told you."

"Fine you were right this time."

"I know.." Then we both realize our hands our still intertwined. And I don't take mine back, I actually move closer. 

"Liam-"

"Shhh" Liam leans closer. And I don't move away. Then. His lips hit mine. I don't budge one bit. I kiss him back. And for a minute I'm actually happy. I could say here, in this moment, forever. So passionate.

"Uhemm should I go?" I hear a voice from behind us and Liam breaks away. No..

"Oh uh sorry man.." Oh god it's Clay..

"I should go.." I make my way out of the water and back to the plane. I hear their voices becoming more distant behind me.

"What the fuck man.. I thought we had a deal." 

"I'm sorry I gave in..I have a habit of doing that when it comes to her."

"Well now she's probably confused as hell." 

"I know..I'm sorry it has to be this way. But I'm falling in love with her."

"I was about to tell you the same, Liam." I think Liam sighs.

"It's on Clay."

"Oh you have no idea."

What have I gotten myself into...

I find Clay sitting on one of the rocks behind the water fall. 

"Hey.." I say.

"Hi."

"You okay?"

"I'm fine."

"Your lying."

"How'd you know."

"When someone says their fine, it really means their not. It's like another way of saying I-am-the-complete-opposite-of-fine-please-just-comfert-me-and-tell-me-it's-al-going-to-be-ok. Commen sense."

"I guess you right."

"Yeah, well-"

"Do you like Liam." I could tell it wasn't a question.

"I don't know."

"You kissed him back."

"That doesn't mean anything.."

"Yes it does."

"I was caught up in the moment."

"Cause that's a great excuse."

"You've never felt that way before?" We're silent for a moment, and all I can hear is the sounds of our breaths sinking together to make one. His eyes are so beautiful in this light..

"Now I have." He breaks the silence. I give him a shy smile and he slowly moves closer too me. Then he kisses me, a soft kiss on the lips. A feeling rushes through me, like a bolt of energy. I push in closer but stop, and he's just kissing me. He pulls away.

"Why." I say.

"I guess I just got caught up in the moment."
