As soon as we got home, I saw Laura and suprisingly, Lila. My mood made 180 degree change when I saw her face and as always, with a smug look. Ezio must have felt the same as me because he stopped his tracks when he saw Lila. What in the world does Lila want? I thought this would be perfect a day for us but I was so wrong.
"Laura! Why is that bitch doing here?" Ezio asked furiously. He didn't left my side, we just stood there watching them to stand up.
"Lila--- "
"It's quite ironic for you to call the girl you fucked not so long ago, a bitch." Lila said without a tiny shame of what had she done.
"What do you want? I already told to stay away from my family."
"Hmm. How could I stay away from you when your child is growing inside me." Lila said like it's nothing to us.
A child. Lila is pregnant with Ezio's child.
"Are you sure it's mine? Because I can tell that you fucked many men that I even can't count them using my fingers. You're just saying that to ruin my life with Dan." Despite his retort, I can sense that Ezio is nervous, that deep inside he wishes that child in Lila's tummy is not his.
"I knew you'd say that and I brought papers to prove that this child is yours." And of course, she gave Ezio a long envelope.
"Oh, there is more. I also wanted to prove that Dan is a gold-digging bitch. Did you know that Dan doesn't really love you? Did you know that her family only wants your precious company to be in her hands?" Lila accused as everyone looked at me, except for Ezio, with disgust.
"Ho-how did you know that? It's not true! I --" I stammered. It happened a long time ago. I knew my father just wanted me to marry Ezio because of his wealth but I married Ezio because I loved him.
"Is this true, Laura?" Ezio asked his sister instead of me.
"Yes, Ezio. I'm sorry Dan but in the envelope, it has a voice records there, it's Dan and her father discussing things...." Laura shook her head.
This time, Ezio looked at me like I betrayed him.
"Is this why you didn't file divorce yet, huh? It looks like I'm not the only one who caused trouble in this relationship."
"Please, Ezio let me explain. I --"
"It means it's true! Dan married because of my money! After all this time I thought I will break this relationship but I was wrong. Dan here, since the time we got married, only wanted to her her tiny little hands on my money."
"Ezio let me tell you what happened, please." I pleaded
"We will handle this on our own. It looks like you're the real whore after all" I squint. It's the first time Ezio called me in those names. I can't believe this day ever happened.
Ezio and the rest went inside the house and I just watched them leave me, like I never existed.
This day has gone from being my best day to worst day of my life. I slowly went to my room and changed my clothes and I think maybe Ezio will understand me after their talk, so I planned to wait for them to finish so that I can explain myself to him.

It's already 12 midnight but they are still not finish yet. I went to check Ezio's office to see if they are still there. I slowly knocked but no one's answering. I guess they are not here any more, maybe they are already done but I just didn't noticed it. My next stop would be Ezio's room, probably he would be there, resting after the day's happenings.
I knocked on his door but all I can hear is the television playing. I knocked once more but still, Ezio's not answering. I assumed Ezio will be awake, I decided to open the door and seconds after I opened it, I wished this sight is not true.
Ezio is sleeping with Lila beside her. Ezio's right hand is resting on Lila's tummy and it looks like they're spooning. My heart can't take it anymore, I silently cried while I rush to my room. I can't believe what that I just saw, I knew what I've done but do I deserve this? To be hurt repeatedly?
I sat on the corner of my bed, thinking what's the best thing to do.
I think Ezio is hurt of what he had just heard on the voice records and it will be the best to end this marriage right now.
Like a little mouse, I went to his office again to find a pen and paper to write a letter to him but the sight of two long envelopes bothered me. I opened one envelope and I think signing this and leave him with Lila would end our misery. Nothing can hurt me more than this.
I signed the divorce papers, packed a small bag and left him.
