Part 7 ♥

***People say love isn't everything in life, but isn't it worth living because there's love in life?***

Louis' P.O.V.

I wasn't able to move. I felt like the world collapsed on me. What Elena just told me didn't change my feelings for her in any way but I was not able to accept it. I stood there and watched her walking away from me. I wanted to stop her so badly but she said that she wanted to go and I wanted to respect that - for now. But I refused to leave her forever. Her cancer would not bar me from being with her all the time.

I've waited until I didn't see her anymore. Then I decided that I would have to go home somehow.

I opened the door with my keys. When I entered the living room nobody really cared - expect Becca. I looked at her and saw her eyes looking straight into mine. Suddenly Gintarė noticed me looking horrible, too. "Oh gosh, Lou, are you okay?! What happened?"

I tried to clear my throat. Then I said with a hoarse voice: "Becca, could I talk to you please?"

She nodded and stood up. "Yeah, sure."

We went out of the room into the kitchen where the others wouldn't hear us.

For a moment we both were lost for words and then Becca started. "Did she tell you?"

I nodded and at the same time I shook my head. I looked up from the ground to see Becca's face. "Tell me that this isn't true."

She shook her head. "I wish I could, Lou." I saw her eyes welling up with tears.

I stepped forward to pull her into a hug. With her head on my shoulder she whispered. "She's my best friend, Lou. I can't live without her. I don't want to lose her. I would give my life for her!"

I ended the hug so I could look into her face. "Becca, I do exactly know what you feel. I know, I don't know Elena as long as you do... anyways, there's something magical between us. When I first saw her at this café I was totally overwhelmed and this moment, when I first saw her, was the moment when I fell in love with her."

"She wants you to leave her alone, right?" Becca asked me.

I nodded.

Becca shook her head in disbelief. "I knew she would do this. She doesn't want you to get involved because she doesn't want you to be hurt."

"I don't care if I'm hurt, I love her!"

"Well, she's stubborn. If you really love her Lou...", she looked into my eyes. "...then you could possibly change her mind. But you're going to have to fight!"

I nodded. "I'm willing to fight for her."

"And Louis?"

"Yes?"

"I'm not sure if we should tell the others about it yet."

"I don't think so. We'll talk to her and then she can decide if she wants us to tell them."

Elena's P.O.V.

I opened the door and stepped into my home. My mum was waiting in the kitchen and when she heard the noise of me closing the door she came to me.

"Hello darling." She smiled a warm smile and pulled me into a hug.

I smiled. "Hey mum."

"How are you?" She asked and in a normal family this would be a normal question but in my situation I knew that my mum was afraid of the answer.
